  1. Aw the 1966 batgirl. Childhood crush! 80s reruns, not that old.
  2. Where do kids from the Grove Tavern end of Dulwich tend to go to secondary? Genuine question.
  3. Sorry to mention the subject again but this just made me laugh. ""If my little children bite me, they are sent to the dark room with the big bad wolf. This is football's equivalent." " Ronaldo (The Bazilian one)
  4. I once (when very drunk) bought a limited edition kebab flavour Pot Noodle. Even in that state I couldn't eat it.
  5. Jeremy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I guess "managing the best you can to the > advantage of as many people as possible" should be > the aim of all political parties, but nevertheless > it wouldn't be a tagline I'd necessarily associate > with the tories. That's what I thought, but guess he means he's more of a Tory types ideologist rather than thinking current politicians are actually doing a good job if doing this.
  6. Things that I can't afford.
  7. Really? Do you think anyone would last long with any employer if they said the people making their product were like a bunch of 13 year olds with no idea? And a person interviewing politicians should be impartial (which he was). Going public with your views distorts that even if he had tried to remain impartial. I like Paxman, and see what he's saying about ideology of the young, but think it's right that he kept quiet til he'd left the job.
  8. I just bumped in to my neighbour and asked how he was enjoying the WC. He said "it was alright til we got knocked out. But it's been pretty good though, lots of goals. Seriously though if we'd qualified I think we'd have had a good chance". I coukdw only smile encouragingly.
  9. Thought you kept dropping it. POW!!!! Brap Brap Brap You got schoooooled! (If anyone thinks this is a serious post, have a word)
  10. I'd like to see that Maxxi. Especially Mexico V Costa Rica.
  11. The case was weak because of the passage of time as far as I can tell. So fair enough, she couldn't be proven guilty and walked. Still annoying though when it is so obvious. Oh well. As am aside, I've never put myself in a left / right box either, and I try to be realistic, but I am a pretty bleeding heart so I get called lefty a lot.
  12. Damn you, I was all ready to say "thought you kept dropping it. POW!!!!" after the next response.

But they're not saying "that's not on" they're saying "it's a disgrace" which within the realms of football I find funny and tabloid. There are lots of things that are a real disgrace about football and FIFA. This is a stupid boy doing a stupid but not particularly dangerous thing which needs punishinge. But come on, BIGGER PICTURE!!!! > No-one is picking on this guy - he is doing it to > himself and has had repeated and escalating > punishments already No one said he's being bullied or picked on. There you go with that words in to mouths thing you do.
  14. Oh well, Barca still fancy him apparently, so fuck it. But SJ "I keep dropping it". Funny.
  15. I just think this is a weird place for it. Or do all right leaning people think she was innocent and all leftys think guilty? Doubt it. She acted like a cunt and is walking away unscathed. What is liberal about that opinion?

It's the cries of "Disgrace" from intelligent people that get my back up. When ot comes to football people suddenly become tabloid newspapers.
  17. "i find mob justice unpleasant, is all, and felt there was a touch of it about the reaction to the bite." That's how I felt, but was perhaps too cross yesterday to articulate.
  18. Not so sure this one is about left / right.
  19. As an aside, sorry to hear about your boy DC, sounds like a horrible experience. For different reasons my daughter has also made me very grateful for the NHS.
  20. Only got round to reading that this morning, and it is very interesting. Conclusion - If you can afford (or have RM Paying for) a top defence, you're sorted.
  21. Well quite, and I hope we get a lot more, but chances of 80 - 90 went out the window with his mouth wash I imagine.
  22. Going back to the Morals are good if you can afford it thing, I tend to agree. I have filled in MANY DLA claims in my time for people with visual impairments, quite a few with sight no worse than mine. I am confident I could get myself DLA (or whatever it is now) but I never have because I don't feel I really need it, and despite fancying the extra cash, it just feels ethically wrong. But then I use Amazon all the time because they're ofren the cheapest option and my spare cash is now more limited than it has been since I was about 22. I know what they do yet I choose to ignore it and continue to use them. I guess the point is we all draw our kine somewhere, and our personal financial situation plays a huge part in where that might be. If I had more free cash I may well pay out a bit more to ease my conscience further. But despite using them, I would never try to deny that Amazon actively practice tax avoidance. Legal or not legal, they are selling stuff here and then not paying the tax here for that income. That is avoiding paying tax, the fact it's legal is almost beside the point. Pay your tax here or move it over there and perfectly legally AVOID paying it. The key word is avoid.
  23. It's a wicked idea. Spain won't want him for the fee he'd have commanded three days ago, but reckon someone would take a punt on a player of his quality for a knock down fee which Liverpool may be happy to cut their losses and accept... At the start of the week I think he'd have rivalled the bale fee. Now maybe 50m? I don't know of course, will just have to see how it comes out in the wash.
  24. What Anna was saying (I think) is that this will go on and on and other dodgy offences will go unnoticed / commented on. That isn't the same as comparing an elbow to a bite. Perhaps this is why this sort of thing doesn't work omin this format. This is a discussion for a pub, not one where comments can be misconstrued. Suarez will use this to try and get to Spain, I even wondered today whether he had this weird twisted plan all along (although that would seem insane, but is that such a stretch when it's him?).
