  1. Glad you said that SJ. I was going to say similar, but not being Irish I thought I'd get shushed.
  2. You can still get Golden Wonder in some shops.
  3. Club Orange is great. Never understood why people rave about Tayto so much. They're nice and all that, but no nicer than KP or Tavern Snacks.

Cancelled appointment so I could try. Thought I was in, but now just frozen at the security stage.

I'd intended to, but as it's turned out I'll probably be underground at 9:30.

Ah okay. Think Collins was in the team though.

Didn't he score the goal that put Man U out of the CL whilst at Monaco?
  13. It's still pretty easy to score illegal drugs on Lordship Lane! But yeah, the stories you hear about the Palmerston, The Mag and The EDT certainly aren't in keeping with today's ED.

He then went on to much bigger and better things. But yes, I remember when Rangers were dominant, and how big it was for Celtic when they took the title back, but with Rangers gone (for now), I just don't think I could really cheer a title win with much conviction. The team that has done the most impressive thing in the SPL this year will be the team that finishes in second.

  16. I remember it as the Tesco way back until it became 7/11 in the early to mid 80s. Oggy I found this thread interesting too, and am pleased you shared. I just didn't recognise the description of Lordship Lane you gave that's all.
  17. I agree too. I've said before that I think JB needs to be clear sometimes whether he is speaking as JB the elected councillor or JB the interested resident, but some of the attacks on him are very personal and completely uncalled for.

Exactly, I don't ever remember a Lane full of fried chicken shops. The most it ever had was 2, Favourite, which is still there (and long may it stay), and the speedo pizza place was once a chicken shop. That's it. There were one or two betting shops I'll grant you, and there are probably more hair places now than ever before. Are you sure you're thinking of the same Lordship Lane? Shame, because this made me laugh. Oggy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > A chartered surveyor who works as a retail agent.... ?

From BBC Football Posted at 08:32 Former Celtic midfielder John Collins tells BBC Radio 5 live that it is "bad" for Scottish football that the Hoops have secured the title so easily. Neil Lennon's side have been crowned champions of Scotland for the third successive season, with seven games to spare. "I think there's no doubt it's bad for Scottish Football," Collins, who won the Scottish Cup with Celtic as a player in 1995. "Celtic are so far in front, nobody wants to watch a one horse race do they? That is the reality. "It's not Celtic's fault. They've built a really strong squad for Scottish football and the rest can't compete, certainly over a league campaign."

Don't worry Mick, having paid my first mortgage payment this month (plus additional interest taking it to over 1500) I shall not be watching any matches in the pub with Jah or anyone else.

Saw this tweet on bbc and thought it was a nice sentiment. "As a neutral, many of us want LFC to win EPL for one reason, so I'm starting a new hashtag #winitforstevieg spread the word!
