I can't offer much advise, but I can say that if she's musical you should go with Aske's.

He genuinely looks like a nutter. Not a very hard nutter, but a nutter all the same.

But just saying "ginger beer" is like saying "cola". I love love love an Old Jamaican ginger beer (Coke/Pepsi) with a bit of bite, but some sweet ginger beers (rola cola) are shit.

Not long after the 7/7 attacks, my mate and I were on a tube station (possibly Embankment, defo District Line) when I young Aisan guy with a fuck off big rucksack stood next to us on the platform. We both moved away without saying a word, and as soon as we were on the train in a different carriage to him, we both admitted to each other why we'd moved, and that we felt pretty shitty about it, but you know... I don't think I'm a racist, and I'm damned sure that my friend isn't, but that day we both (with no discussion) made a decision to distance ourselves from that guy basically because of his race. Had a white guy come along with the same rucksuck, I dare say we wouldn't have moved. In our defence, this was very close to the tube attacks, and people were scared at the time.

Well if it's true then good luck to him! He'll be a brave man even if his hand has been forced, and hopefully he'll get a good response and others will follow suit.

I need to see them live, because the album left me largely unmoved (only given it one listen so far). And I want to like them.

That is unbelievavle. If you are a member of a union, use them for free legal advise. My wife just did this for a dispute we were having with our former landlords, and it was an impressive service.

I fully accept that public sector workers are lucky to have pensions, but I do feel the need to add that most of us are not getting the pensions we uused to get. Cilil Service and Police still doing pretty darn well, but my pension scheme is nowhere near as good as the one I got when I started in public sector 12 years ago. Just to add some balance.
