Nicely put, and very polite given the post you were respondibg to! And I hope that "most would think" should replace "some".
  2. Bravo Wigan, well deserved. Sure they'd swop it for survival though!
  3. 'bout now, I don't doubt it at all, and it ahoukd definitely come after the league finishes. However, part of the reason it was probably such a big deal was because there wasn't a kot of football live on telly, and there was nothing else to watch. These days kids would rather play video games or watch other stuff which wasn't available in the 70s.
  4. Everything were better back then. Oh hang on, no it wasn't. I do feel gutted that I never experienced those cup final days, but the game has evolved and the fans have basically encouraged that and helped it on it's way. You reap what you sow. Money is king, Europe is money should that's the priority for the top clubs. Im pretty sure any player in a team placed lower than the middle of the prem woukd still feel just as excited abiut a trip to Wembley as ever, and you could argue that javing the semis there gives this experience to more players.

  6. Have to agree with that. And I support Liverpool.

Finally confirmed at Kings last week that this is what she has (bit annoyed they didn't look harder before last Friday!!!). Basically we have to increase the Movicol by 2 sachets a day until she's on 8 a day for a couple of days, and just hope that finally everything will sofen up and clear out. Poor little mite. At least we know we weren't going mad though.
  8. Haha, yes with Sparky's ego it would be a recipe for disaster!

Game was about ?3 and then I downloaded the cheater app which may have cost a couple of quid. Clever people can "hack" the game and put the cheats in themselves, but I am not that teck savvy, so the cheater was great. It basically just brings up your device keyboard during game play so that you can enter the cheats like "gesundheit" to restore health, or "gunsgunsguns" for a full arsenal of weapons.
  10. Much as people will claim otherwise (particularly Liverpool fans with Paisley), it's hard to argue that SAF is the greatest manager ever because he was still able to build new teams right to the end. Not the nicest bloke by all accounts, but respect where it's due
  11. What do I know.
  12. I can't see it, but they won the title so easily this season that maybe he's bored. He seems to thrive most on the chalkenge of beating a rival, and this season he hasn't really had any.
  13. The poster who makee me think about late night kebab eating. Welcome back man!
  14. I've not been in there for years because I just never really liked the pub. It had an outdoor play area even when I was a kid though.

  16. My gripe with Smiths is the prices they charge in train station and hospital shops. It takes the absolute p!ss! The Forest Hill one is pretty crap, but they have not long (maybe a couple of years) had the post office upstairs, so I can't see it being closed anytime soon.
  17. Not seen them, but will defo look out for them. Having played these old GTAs on handheld devises, I plan to plug the xbox back in and revisit IV. Main gripe with the older games is that you have to start each mission right from the start if you fail, which often involves a long boring drive. Mid mission checkpoints would make it a lot better!

I think I'm a good half way through or more. GTA3 on Android I had a cheater app which let me type in all the original cheats, so I cheated on a couple of missions (mainly slowing game play on particularly tricky ones). Vice City on IOS I don't have a cheater, so am plowing through it fair & square, so a couple of missions have made me swear!
  19. Anyone got any use for an old style xbox360 hard drive and wireless adaptor? Having a bit of a sort out and found them. Will probably just go in the bin otherwise, as I can't be arsed doing anything else with them.
  20. Slightly poor taste there man.
  21. So what sort of covers / style are you talking about?
  22. I can confirm that AM sent me a PM pointing out that I coukd be at a disadvantage. It's all good though AM, you take the final spot. For the record though, I'm picking Bayern to win 3-2.

  24. Having finished (well the story at least) GTA3 on Android, I'm now playing Vice City. Played a bit of GTA3 10 years ago. Never ever played Vice City. Am bloody loving it!!!
