We have no idea why Iceland have chosen to leave, it could be that business is as good as ever, but the rent has gone up too much. I don't know, but it is certainbly not an empty shop, people do use it, and not everyone living in ED has a lot of spare cash. There are still plenty of people living there who moved in before 2000.

Son of someone who has used Iceland for years out of a mix of necessity and the fact that lots of their stock is decent and cheap (hence I ate a lot of their stuff growing up). Will use an M&S occasionally for a sandwich and fruit for lunch or a ready meal if feeling lazy. Wouldn't think twice about using an Iceland. I'm not directly affected, but I know my mum and lots of her mates are gutted to be losing Iceland (assuming it does go).

"No weight loss as such but people have started saying I look slimmer" I (a bloke) often get people saying "you've lost weight" (not recently mind) when I know I haven't. I have never cared what the scales say, it's how you look and feel that matters.

His missus is a regular in the Family Room unless I'm mistaken. She doesn't do the Hugs thing though.

It's hard to know exactly what the ref saw, it was dangerous play without doubt, but could the ref have seen clearly that his eyes were always on the ball (as they keep saying in the news)? Having seen lots of replays, I think he deserved a yello, and I do have sympathy for United. I don't think the ref deserves a load of abuse though because he never saw the replays, he saw a bloke go flying in with foot way high.

I totally agree about the real spuds bit, but I am totally happy for them to be the same shape. Not that machine cut chips usually come out the same shape in my experience.

Is it closed? I was under the impression it was still being used as office space by police, just closed to the public. It is a huge space though what with the stables behind.

Haha, we used to live on Station Approach, and used hilltop regularly. Sue became very friendly with us once she accepted we wouldn't be put off. hef's Delight has been there for ever. The Wimpy comparison is one we've also used, but maybe you should try it one day, they have quite a good menu, and they are lovely. Lots of regulars go there (a status I have yet to achieve).

Jasmine is good, except the sausages, even for me who loves a rubbish sausage. Chef's Delight on Sydenham High Street is great in a naff Star Burger way.
