  1. Not moving on as soon as you step off the escalator has consequences! I do hate myself though, can't argue with that.
  2. "don't you find the fasmily room to be generally ruck-free" For the most part yes (which is why I visit less often ;-)), but there have been some classic moments! Regarding the elderly, I think the majority of people have respect for the elderly. It can however be grating when constantly told "it was better in my day, you don't know you were born!"... Okay, so I haven't survived a World War, sorry about that.
  3. *bob* put your cock away when you're on the train please!
  4. Good work canela, although not really controversial, more sport on. One reason Pizza Express is always packed is because the staff are usually lovely with kids, as are the gruff and sometimes scary looking blokes in your average kebab shop. When we took our then 9 month old daughter to Venezuella for a friend's wedding, and stayed with the family, they absolutely adored her, and there was no question of trying to keep her out of everyone's way. In the UK, I think we live a generally too fast paced and stressfull lifestyle, and part of that means that we don't have the patience to deal with kids.

Would have been funny if he'd looked up to find you standing there and offered you the use of his clippers.

Hmmm. I believe this is still happens in Germany (if memory serves).
  7. Lazarus only came back once, these guys are like a whole bunch of cats!
  8. Abandoning your child on the steps of the police station when you can't be arsed anymore. Discuss.
  9. I find it very od when women are making themselves up on the train or bus. Equally, I've seen men get battery powerred razors out in the past, and that is just minging!
  10. Didn't watch, but radio4 this morning said that Celtic played well, and were beaten by a couple defensive errors. Unfortunately though, those errors have given them an imposible task. Hope they go to Italy and throw everything at it. Don't expect them to turn it round, but would be nice to go down fighting hard.
  11. Come on, breast vs bottle, Gina Ford, breast feeding etiquette in public, kids in pubs, kids on buses. Come on, I need entertainment, lets have a ruck!
  12. It's the nature of the beast, people feel the need to share bad stuff. They don't start threads called "Walking down the street late last night was uneventful", because that would be dull.
  13. What an odd list. What's it meant to be based on, how is power definied? PS. Karen Brady was never Birmingham manager, she was the first female managing director (very different role).
  14. A lesbian pope!
  15. "It's malumbu's little dig at the score predictions" Oh, is he still on about that? There was me thinking it might have been something a bit witty.
  16. Okay I'll bite. What does PS3 mean? I know you're referring to Liverpool last night, but I don't get the PS3 thing. No doubt it's an insult. I thought a PS3 was a p[laystation.
  17. Time for a total revamp...
  18. "Pulled my buggy over to send a quick text to my partner and was called a 'f**king c**t' by a stranger for ignoring my wailing daughter!" That is unbelievable! I must admit I've been on buses / trains, and wanted to scream "just pick the child up!!!" when people have been totally ignoring their distressed child. And by that I mean they hadn't even tried to negotiate, they just sit / stand there and refuse to look in the child's direction. That gets on my nerves.
  19. Tuesday 12th February 2013 Celtic 1 Juventus 1 Valencia 1 Paris SG 2 Wednesday 13th February 2013 Real Madrid 2 Man Utd 3 Shakhtar Donetsk 2 Borussia Dortmund 2
  20. So the modern era can stretch back 600 years?
  21. Otta

    a joke

After getting through Monday and Tuesday, even the calendar says WTF.
  22. Just read the story on BBC, apparently it's not totally unheard of, but not in the "modern era". He says he's too old at 85. I wonder if maybe he's coming down with dementia or something they wouldn't be able to hide for long. You can't have the pope wandering the streets naked asking passers by if they've seen Mary.
  23. That is interesting. I thought they had the job til death.
  24. Otta

    Not dead yet

    Honor Blackman (Gawd bless 'er)
  25. Yeah, really enjoyed rewatching the episode where the battery dies in the middle of nowhere and he makes another battery to jump start it. Although Jessie's idea of building a dune buggy was cool!
