    Wedding speech

I've done a few and basically start with taking the piss and end soppy saying they're both lucky. I got lucky when a friend got married on maundy Thursday, and I compared the wedding to the last supper. And you still have my hat from that wedding!

Who's the bride to you? Eventa that hapoened on that date... Apparently the Barbie Doll made her debut on March 9th, sueely there's some comedy there.
  3. Hmmm, I always thought they did the lot, worth giving them a bell.
  4. Rock Steady Eddie's has been there for ever. Very odd place.
  5. Some new defenders would be a good start.
  6. There is a bnetter quality one on Datmouth Road opposite Forest Hill Pools. Still a Caff, but not so dirty.
  7. Before those laws there were just illegal late night drinking dens James.
  8. Have you tried these guys http://www.musicroomlondon.com/equipment-hire/live-stage-hire/ No idea what your budget is, but I've worked with this lot at several open air gigs, and their set up is good.
  9. I reckon a 5 year old could still enjoy it. Pretty sure there were plenty of kids around that age when I went.
  10. I can confirm that Jah Lush is nervous.
  11. I've not seen the sitcom, but I do quite like her when she's on things like Juat a minute. I couldn't stand the 90s ladette humour, it just seemed forced.
  12. And having just looked on YouTube, I'm not entirely sure why.
  13. I used to fancy Mel from Mel & Sue when I was a student.

  15. The world can do one!
  16. I don't think anyone is suggesting a link between boredom and having money. Tge point is that people who are bored AND have money to burn will go and spend it for something to do. Anyway, getting way off topic.
  17. I guess they're not bored because they have the money to buy cushions. But even with all the money in the world I'm sure you'd get bored for other reasons... Lonliness for example.
  18. Come on Rosie, I think the bloke in that photo fully deserves any p!ss taking aimed at him. He might be the nicest bloke in the world, but electric pink socks are inexcusable.
  19. I wasn't suggesting that people using JW were bored women with too much money (you have to love the family room!). My point was simply that in an area like ED, small businesses will charge what people will pay. If people stop using their shop, they'll drop prices or go out of business. The OP even says how lovely it is, and that her kids spend their pocket money in there, which just goes to show that even if someone thinks the place is a bit pricey, they are still spending money in there. hellosailor Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > think that statement says rather more about her life than her customers! Not what I'd aspire to have written on my headstone, put it that way. She's a lovely woman, and very popular around here, but she was being honest. To be fair, I may have been paraphrasing, this was some years ago over a beer. LondonMix Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Proved right about what? Did she say she could raise prices without losing customers or something? Proved right that in an area like ED, you can charfge top dollar, and people will still come and buy stuff. I don't see how anyone can deny that. And fair play to anyone who does use these shops, if you have the cash, and want to support local business people, then great, I'm not judging. I just look for the cheapest price (usually on line) and go there.
  20. They are in an area where people will pay the prices, so they'll keep charging them. A former shop owner in the area once said to me "I make money selling stuoid cushions to bored women with too much money". Harsh, but she was proved right.
  21. I have an early rider balance bike you could have for ?10 (they're 100 odd new). It has wear and tear but perfectly good working order.
  22. Haha, 0-8
  23. Actually I've just watched this one, and it is one of their better efforts, it did raise a smile.
  24. S&R sort of remind me of these guys, except these guys were a comedy act, and they were good.
