  1. Not unless I'm calling my dad, and sometimes myself scum, no.
  2. I had similar once, and it was indeed a dead mouse that seemed to attract them. Sprayed fly spray around the room, and loads of them swarmed out from everywhere. It was grim!
  3. Us blokes know the score ;-)

    Greetings :)

Mike, do yourself q favour and move to either Forest Hill, Sydenham or the Dulwich side of Peckham. You'll save money, and all the "good" stuff about Dulwich will be within easy reach.
  5. Pollyannaella It took me 3 tries to actually say that out loud. I guess at least you could choose to be Polly Anna or Ella.
  6. If my kid hit another child, or stole their toy etc, I'm fine with another parent telling her firmly, but nicely that that's not nice. If a parent shouted at my kid, especially for just being a bit annoying, I'd be in an argument with them straight away!
  7. In my opinion, the rule is a bit OTT, but rules is rules innit.
  8. Does anyone else really not like the new look of the BBC Sport website?
  9. Anyway, bollocks to all this high brow rubbish. If, like me, you enjoy a page turner thriller on the train to work, I recommend Linwood Barclay. Found his first novel for 40p at a book stall, really enjoyed it, and am approaching the end of his second, which I've also enjoyed a lot.
  10. Well that's that then.
  11. I don't think Jeremy ever said running a bank was more difficult than running a country. Are you saying scoring goals is more difficult than running a country?
  12. What Jeremy said. UDT, serious question, would you describe yourself as a socialist, who believes in the redistribution of wealth?
  13. Maybe both.
  14. Ho Ho, quite the card.
  15. Liverpool = The new Millwall! "Nobody likes us..."
  16. You old romantic you!
  17. Monkey Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Talk through problems as they arise and don't let > things fester. Indeed!
  18. Talk to each other, and don't assume he knows what you're thinking. (I'm a bloke, we are rubbish at mind reading). Congrats.
  19. Was meant as clarity, not backtracking. As I've said, I'm sure there were some nasty twats there, who had ill intent, but I don't think there was any condoning of racism intended by the majority who were booing. Anyway, bed time for me.
  20. It was mentioned in the "conversation", so I commented on it, and said that maybe it was possible. You seem to have taken offence, which wasn't intended.
  21. No. Slightly would mean it was definitely a part of the cause. Possibly would mean that it could be. It is not intended as a dig at people from Liverpool, a town where many good people were very good to me. It was an acknowledgement that I had come across that outlook from several people.
  22. When did I blame it on the victim complex? Quids mentioned it, and I said when I lived there (well after the 80s) I knew a fair few people who did feel that it was scoucers against the world. I then said that proved nothing, but "yeah possibly". If you're going to call me an idiot, at least be correct in what you're accusing me of.
  23. Whatever you like.
  24. 1. I don't think SJ thought the booing was acceptable. 2. I don't think that the booing from the majority of the fans was condoning racism.
  25. Cross posted with a few posts, and yes LFC as a club could have handled it better, although if their colleague was swearing he was innocent, and they had no reason to believe he was like that, then I guess they felt they were doing the right thing sticking up for their friend / colleague. Liverpool and victim complex... When I lived there, I met plenty of people who would tell you the whole world was against the scoucers. That is only my experience, and doesn't prove anything, but yeah, possibly. UDT, I think SJ's post was aimed at me not you. And yes, a few racist morons who support Liverpool probably have thrived on this situation, but I hope is is a very small minority. Anyway, I enjoyed the match, and am pleased with the result.
