  1. Okay, this is sounding better. It was people talking about the CCTV that made me think there were no adults (paid, or parents) in there, and the kids were just being supervised by camera.
  2. Dumped not a good choice of word, and nothing was being insinuated by it. The situation you describe sounds ideal, but I bet there are people who go, put kid in playroom, and then go and have a meal, whilst kid spends entire time in playroom.
  3. It sounds like the new lot at the CPT are doing good things, so good for you. I just hope hope hope that whatever else you do, you keep the 2 seperate bars. I've ben told they're going to have an outdoor smoking area out back in the yard, which seems a good idea if there is shelter, and apparently the litchen will be upstairs, which seems the only viable solution to me.
  4. I'm not trying to be negative, I just don't like the idea of dumping my kid somewhere whilst I have dinner. That said, I admit we are very lucky having all the grandparents very close, so kids can be dumped with them instead. If kids came to the pub with me, I'd expect to be watching them / with them at all times. Just for clarity, I'm talking about toddler. Would be different if they were a bit older.
  5. Liverpool were fortunate with the penalty, but played well, and deserved something from it. I've slagged off Bellamy in the past, not for his football, but for his actions off the pitch. Last night though he was a hero on the pitch, with a great goal to take us through. I know the league cup isn't exactly the Champions League, but it's a trip to Wembley, and any of the top 5 teams would have set out to win it once they were in the semis.
  6. Do the pub have an adult in the playroom staffing it?
  7. Although if Liverpool play ANYTHING LIKE they did at the weekend, they'll be more than simply beaten.
  8. Good to have you on board RD, a proper red at last.
  9. In that case she can play out on the road for all I care.
  10. Am I the only one who would feel a bit weird about sending my kid in to a playroom with a load of strabge kids she didn't know, whilst I sat down for a nice meal and watched her on TV?
  11. And Opal Fruits are Starburst.
  12. Why can't you at least be honest, and admit that it's nothing to do with the CPZ, but rather BECAUSE you have a very very boring personal gripe against JB. Take it somewhere else, it's dull.
  13. Am I the only one who thinks there is something really bleak about Dulwich Village? I can't exactly put my finger on it, but ever since I was a kid, I just didn't like being there.
  14. Right, played q couple of hours of Skyrim. First impressions are that it looks great. I have to say though that straight away it just felt like I was playing Oblivion. In itself not a bad thing, but I do wonder if this one will take over my life in quite the same way. There is a part of me that sort of feels over it. Earlier on, I played the beginning of Ocarina of Time, just to have a look. Obviously it's aged, but for a 14 year old game, it still looks pretty damned good, and reminds you just how HUGR a deal it was back in '98. I've ordered Skyward Sword, to hell with it.
  15. I'm sure I heard somewhere of a proposal that people would be able to access multiple GP surgeries. Would be great if you could have one close to home, and one near work, as people that work, especially those who don't get paid holiday / sick are a bit stuck.
  16. I did like the point he made about Zelda (paraphrasing) "if you live in the clouds, and have no idea that there is a world below, how comes it's always sunny when you get down there?" :-S I dunno, doesn't he rate the Call of Duty games, or did I imagine that? I personally think they are the same game wrapped in different paper over and over again. Boring boring boring!!!!!
  17. I like his reviews, but equally O take them with a pinch of salt. When all you do is play games and talk about them, you're gonna get a bit cynical and hard to please. Anyone buying a Zelda game expecting a brand new gaming experience is a moron, but I've never played one that hasn't been very charming and made me smile.
  18. The headline to the "Ocarina of Time has met its match." was enough to grab my attention. It's a direct prequel to that game apparently.
  19. So, has anyone got Skyward Sword on Wii? I have always been a HUGE Zelda fan, and am very tempted to dust off the old Wii and buy this game. Unbelievably, I still haven't started Skyrim (having had it at home for weeks now). I did put it in the xbox last night though, and hopefully this evening we'll get going... If the new Zelda game is as good as some of the reviews are saying though, I think I'd probably work through that first...
  20. Ha ha, I know I hadn't on the brand new family PC, but facebook was recently hit by a worm, and I wonder if it was to do with that.
  21. It could be describing a load of smelly mothers I suppose. Not going because of the name is pretty pathetic though to be honest.
  22. This happened to my yahoo account over Christmas, all my contacts got some email about iPhones or something. Changed password, and nothing has happened since.
  23. Oxo Cube
  24. Although to be fair, even Van Persie looked a bit unhappy at the substitution. Agree though that anyone booing Wenger and chanting "you don't know what you're doing" is clearly foolish.
  25. I agree with Lee Dixon, that it is not conclusive enough. On'y he knows for sure, but from the angles I've seen, it is quite possible that it was accidental... Just as it is possible that he did it on purpose.
