  1. Yup, my destination of choice when alone in the states As for boozer and definition of, I'm with maxxi.
  2. what quids said - saying "nothing to do" and living in London is like a dictionary definition of "lack of imagination"
  3. Great name sir
  4. Haha. All true max, all true. My typo on phone btw. Meant to say wouldn't blame but you got that
  5. I'd say SAF was a good man manager and he obviously didn't want him. I would blame bfs on this one Plus he has less choice than SAF
  6. Which is what laur seems to be saying is about to happen. But you haven't made reference to it
  7. oh this is good good stuff from Lousia today
  8. ;-)
  9. A bit bug-eyed was she?
  10. Quids. Dulwichvillagelady has hacked your account
  11. It causes you irrational internal pride rather than rage I reckon quids
  12. Hang on - aren't these DVL's first posts on this thread ?- how is "she" able to say "LOL you've all been entertained by a DVL post. "
  13. well that puts Antic in a similar place then - they used to have half a dozen including EDT - now?
  14. ;-) I'll always care How many regs on here still live with SE22 these days I wonder
  15. " the prediction of "indies squeezed out by chains" has not really materialised yet to any significant extent." this is ultimately true, to date. Helped by the small unit sizes 9as many people have said over the years) And yet, and yet.... change is in the air I think
  16. I saw a friend feed a small rat to her python, just after it was coming out of hybernation It's not an image you forget in a hurry
  17. well, greene King have taken over Capital Pubs. Judging by reactions to the Rye, that tells it's own story Foxtons Picture House Franco Manca Not necessarily a bad thing if you want chains. But they are happening, and will happen more frequently
  18. It's already part of highway code that people drive at appropriate speed regardless of the limit - so if a residential road is narrow and full of parked cars do you NEED a law to say slow down to 10? telling a child or a dog to "look where they are bloody going" isn't going to have too much effect is it look, my point is you can tell EVERYONE as much as you want to pay attention, but as the one driving the car, I'm the one responsible (probably, mostly) for hitting something, anything that's on the road. It would help me as a driver if I could be sure the roads were clear of idiots, but I can't be sure - so mentally shrugging and saying well it won't be my fault, or I can't be expected to see them is just lazy thinking
  19. If that's true Loz, then it suggests 20mph is too fast to be driving down Goodrich Road, doesn't it?
  20. HAD a mouse...
  21. Cheers Lou - the memory of our afternoon in the booth together at the Lions Head will stay with me for ever. If everyone started going....
  22. I think jeremy called it when he thought the OP was getting it mixed up with Nuns Head
  23. "You might, but slowing down doesn't mean you might not still hit someone." a) - it does. You have more time to react b) - if you do hit them the impact is much diminished I'm not disagreeing with you about the need for everyone to play their part - just seeing some statements I disagree with. "Like all of London you mean?" - well, like a lot of London yeah. Dog Kennel Hill not so much, but Goodrich Road yeah.. I'd be going pretty darn slow down that road
  24. But I just don't understand - so many things can come from between parked cars that aren't idiot pedestrians - if you are driving through an environment like that you just slow down to allow time don't you?
  25. a couple of Richards mentioned here http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/search.php?30,search=richard+gardener,page=1,match_type=ALL,match_dates=0,match_forum=ALL
