Tiny Little Things That Cause You Irrational Rage

" I know for a fact that with regards to the beef used, McDonalds use nothing but top grade British beef with no fillers or cereals added." Not having a go at MaccyD here - but given the statement above, the burger should taste a little more beefburgery no? Like McCain's chips - nothing but fresh potatoes. Frozen So why if I use fresh potatoes and freeze them, do they taste nothing like that? Something else is afoot -
no point taking players like Cole (good as he was/is - he isn't available for much longer) This cup is about trying out the younger players and building on that before the tournament started people were saying "for first time in ages we have no real expectation" After 2 narrow defeats to 2 big teams it's all "we should have done x y and z" everyone should juuuuust calm down. None of it matters. But if it does, the long term is the goal knee-jerk reactions to 2 matches is exactly the sort of thing that has the national team where they are

many a time someone has started a thread on here along the lines of "just to make people aware i was walking down paxbury grove, engrossed in my phone, when some scrote whizzed by and whipped my phone out of my hands just wanted to let people know and be aware of your surroundings" it's simple advice, which many of us ignore from time to time. But it's only advice. well, more a reminder really, as it's something we all inherently know right?

"errrr, except when you don't make it out the group!!" obviously - but them's fine lines. And not always the best team on right side of those lines

oh the irony - I wait years for an england team I can get behind and the few golden generation players remaining are the reason they are out That team talk from Gerrard in the papers yesterday was awful I thought - exactly the kind of baggage the new players don't need. That said, as a person I feel for SG - what a mare of a few months he has had But I can definitely see progress and am looking forward to Euros People judge group games too harshly - the glory memories of 1990 mask a woeful group performance

Gerrard. Feck sake

on page one: I said: "Like the OP and Otta, I'm glad people stepped in to help and try and apprehend him - but subsequent posts crossed a line" At no point have I said it should go unchallenged - but you don't see the problem with people mounting pavements in pursuit, or with an eye to blocking the guy? It's very easy to say "if the coast is clear and no driver would do it if it put anyone at risk" but come on

"Surely, at the end of the day, the fact nobody was hurt and she got her Phone back without any consequences is the most important thing here? " spot on "Most annoyingly to her is the fact she thanked him when he gave it back- aren't we so politely British sometimes!!??!!" I have a funny feeling that is exactly what I would have done in heat of the moment too

Labour benefit reforms announced - discuss
StraferJack replied to david_carnell's topic in The Lounge
is this a rare case where we are all broadly in agreement then? Lumme -
The speech Gerrard is reported to have given in the papers today exemplifies all thats' wrong with the golden generation negative, full of worry and woe betide Then again his inspirational speech to Liverpool teammates didn't help much either

you do know the anti hunting ban in this country is largely ineffective and ignored right?

Yup - that slight surge of popularity he had appears to have been his cue to retreat. Weird If even I am thinking Labour aren't up for this election why would undecided voters? -

Initial question is - what's the motivation? is it genuine, or is it a sop to close gap with opposition? things like "and initially save ?65m. " - don't sound much to me even if achieved. But my feeling is that saving will be largely void when offset against other costs resulting from the changes (crime? health? Overheads of administering the changes?) I'm more inclined to think it's moot anyway - supporters like me might not agree with the changes but I suspect the mood of the country is to elect Cameron next year. Moves like this will be unlikely to win over those voters but will repel some Labour voters. Labour with remove Ed and we will see in 5 years time I'm not sure that's even a totally bad thing - the next term will be brutal whoever is in power and will most likely find the country in a different mood at the end of it -
Mariner was also one of the most gifted actors of his generation in Escape to Victory. Ahem

What advice are people given if someone snatches their handbag? And why? It's not out of sympathy for the criminal Sure, hold on to the handbag but you risk trouble. Or worse Going all The Professionals over an iPhone is ott at best and dangerous at worst. If my daughter was injured by some have a go hero who was focused on somebody else, over a phone??!!, then we would see ugliness Many of us on here have been victims of theft ( me phone, another time me burgled). It's horrible horrible but no one got hurt. Sympathies as always with the victim. But using it as an excuse for nonsense is poor

Is "end of" MORE or LESS proscriptive than liber elite hand slapping? I can't decide Louisa, love. No one is defending or losing sleep over a thieving scrote What some of us MIGHT be saying is to descend into the kind of vigilante action and braying, even if only joking, is not a good look for any society. Feel free to point out anywhere you think contradicts this
