  1. Yup. Latest update "CLEARED: Trains are now running normally between London St Pancras International and London Blackfriars #FarringdonTrains" But given recent events I wouldn't rely on the service is what i should have said last night.
  2. More flooding in same tunnels. Would not expect a service tomorrow morning
  3. I'm still calling it not true as in, you are mistaken (not lying)
  4. " the majority of cars roar along at 30-40mph. " I'm willing to bet that isn't true - tha majority???
  5. "The vast majority of drivers never hit anything, but we never seem to consider that." Is that not the same logic the gun lobby in America use? Doesn't stop the regular carnage, whereas in countries with gun control.....
  6. but more seriously.. first thing this morning they were reporting "back to normal service" looks like subsequently there were a whole bunch of other operational problems which banjaxed the service But my main point was an answer to "It is almost as if they try and be as unhelpful as possible." As I use them a lot, I'm often left stranded or late by them as well but find that their twitter feed is pretty reliable and that they usually respond to any queries pretty fast Doesn't make the service any better or get me to work/home on time - but they do try and be helpful
  7. It?s not the BEST song on that first Suede album no... but a bit harsh all the same Ernesto
  8. Their twitter feed report service was back to normal this morning after yesterdays remaining floodwater was cleared
  9. you have no ground (legal or otherwise) to claim anything you just wrote (@ Louisa) But let's go back to our multi occupancy example - if you get to your space and it's taken "BY SOMEONE ELSE IN THE SAME PROPERTY" what do you do (remember there are several others in same boat on same street probably at same time) Where do they park? Nearest available space? They have to go to a public car park?
  10. it is NOt technically anything otherthan public highway as for "house" you do know that a lot pf houses are many multiple occupied right? So which one of the occupiers has dibs? And you go driving off to some friend around London or elsewhere in the country where do you park then?
  11. "How is that fair to live here but not be able to park but people working here can park all day?" the roads are public and whoever gets there first gets to park - it's totally fair When you buy a house on a back st in East Dulwich you have zero right to the road space outside your house I've said it before many a time but the street is a finite space - imagine if half the houses on your road became 3 seperate flats each, all with families. And they all have cars. Now who gets to park where?
  12. " But the Gatwick/Brighton trains get preferential treatment, and the Wimbedon loop trains just get cancelled." If you have to make a priority decision, if something has to given, that makes sense tho doesn't it? That weighing up and balancing of priorities has to be done on stressed systems - and people living 4 miles away from work can get to work by other means, at short notice. People living 50 miles away, or travelling from airports with luggage can't
  13. I have a feeling Arsenal and West Ham are destined to meet in Semis or Final this year (as long as they both stay in) I'm betting we get Palace
  14. You'll have to click the link el pibe - innocent eyes may stumble across it accidentaly http://metro.co.uk/2015/01/24/former-chelsea-captain-dennis-wise-steals-limelight-from-fa-cup-shocks-with-horrendous-hairdo-5035088/
  15. The Amex stadium is a 10 minute drive away from me but I couldn?t get tickets Game was on BT sport so had to watch it in the pub Couldn?t get in to any pubs in Lewes until gone 3pm ? home and away supporters were out in force and a cracking atmosphere around town Had to do my old ?watching Arsenal in an away pub? routine from my East Ham days (supporters were friendly ? I just didn?t want to antagonise) I like Hughton a lot and wanted us to win, but not to inflict reputational damage on him ? so was well pleased by the end of the day
  16. googling "nursery frozen week" would suggest that "weird" or "unusual" it ain't
  17. following thameslink on twitter is useful to keep on top of disruptions @TLRailUK as of this morning they are pumping 28000 gallons of water an hour with 250,000 to go flooding is bad news and not easily fixed - ask the businesses in Herne Hill
  18. Haggerston/Haggiston Road would be perfect location.. for a new cafe called "Haggis A Bite"
  19. Is her picture still on the wall? Either way I always thought she WAS Louisa
  20. Jesus h Christ. Louisa was moaning her tits off on here when that snow fell. Complaining about everyone skiving and taking the day off But now she's all I hope we see snow again, and not reminding us all what bad people we were http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,217503,218889#msg-218889

  22. ooooh hark at her! difference between having access to your email and actually reading it all of the time you are out of the office then there is the "well I've read the email but Sunita, Bob, or Samuel are in and will be dealing with it" Then there is the "well only I can deal with this, but I need access to files on my desk/desktop so I will have to reply and see if the person is ok with wwaiting"
  23. There was a bit of a shizm at our shool on how to pronounce it as well
