  1. totally spot on Otta - it WAS a lame joke but entirely well-intentioned I just thought the list was liek a mini time caspule so I made the lame joke and then made an Arsenal reference to show it was one Arsenal fan joshing another. No idea why AQ got quite so cross
  2. "I thought SJ was saying that the vitriol each receives from their own fans was comparable, nothing to do with their managerial skills/legacy." this
  3. My "ungrateful bollix" phrase was intended as a Roddy Doyle-esque quip last night - but rereading it this morning it looks more like a straight insult, so I'm holding myhadns up here and offer an apology It's odd me trying to defend BFS as I don't like the man very much but the vitriol lobbed his way constantly surprises me Just as the Wenger Out brigade at my club appall me in their vitriol too...
  4. Like. Whatevs Hammers fans are peaking right now and they don't even recognise it "If we had a better manager with these players". Like life is that simple Ungrateful bollix I'll put it another way. Ye will never be this high again.
  5. I know I shouldn't bite But Out of order how exactly?
  6. Allardyce leaves West Ham fall. Fall. Fall Hack "managers" like Osborne get praise and "solid" managers like Sam get slammed? Fantasy world.
  7. Christ above I don't think park drive and Louisa are same person I thought PD made a list of things which were not just slightly pass? but well out of date. And that's fine. That's ok. He is well entitled to do so But in the interst of dialogue, humour, engagement I made a jolly play on how out of date the list was. No malice. Normally I would expect some "chuckles" back. But no. Dead eyed, humourless offence But "out of order"??? Really.
  8. Off limits? How do people leap to such assumptions? I can comment about how stuck in the past you are without it being off limits no? On the other hand if you are giving out about ten year old specifics...you hsvent exactly got your finger on the pulse Or maybe you are actually Louisa
  9. I don't trust hippies Or punks Or soul boys Or ravers Or grungers Or teddies Or..... Etc
  10. "ED Picturehouse have just posted the following on FB Wonderful people of East Dulwich! You may have noticed that progress on the building work has been slower than expected" Err. No surprise . You posted a wildly optimistic opening schedule and some of us said so. There was never a change of a 2014 opening. Why pretend otherwise.
  11. ?????
  12. Perhaps. But "less attractive" is not the same as people not doing it. People who can, are still doing it. Because the return is so good This is not the same as saying as what is and isn't acceptable or right. That might be a different discussion (and one we have had) But happening it is. More property in fewer hands
  13. Well yeah but john implied his was empty didn't he? Either way, taxing multiple owners just raises revenue. It does little to stop the leaveraging of fixed assets into fewer hands surely?
  14. I wonder how many john L s there are in the country Do we need house building programmes or do multiple house owners need a slap?
  15. Park drive. Your list reads like it's from over a decade ago. I was making a joke
  16. Park drive - if you love 2003 so much just wait until 2005. Arsenal go unbeaten in the league! Best bit in extras was the Christmas special. All of it but the rant to camera in big brother house was superb. It's on YouTube.
  17. What am I not liking? Are you saying I'm anti fracking and agree with everything the anti frackers are saying? I just pointed out the irony of your first and last lines.
  18. "Love to see the responses when the lights go out." "Even the ridiculous scare-mongering title of this thread is laughable." hmmmm
  19. It was much better hundreds of years ago when people surrounded themselves with their posessions in their house and told someone "paint me!!!"
  20. I knew Word would have something like that but couldn't remember - cheers Loz
  21. "The world has really turned on him, he was the darling of comedy not long ago. I've never been a huge fan, but he's made me laugh sometimes." This ^ Plus anytime anyone ever sees him now is on some arena/theatre show and I don't like comedy in that atmos from anyone at all. But I saw him at the Tattershall castle a few times and he was pretty good
  22. " Short-sighted rapacious money grabbing bastards! If there is one thing we need up this end of Lordship Lane it's a decent pub. " convo has been had before but it has been decades since that place was a decent pub. There must be a reason various incarnations haven't worked
  23. It was baking hot outside and my mate was waiting for a bus back to Streatham - so we needed water badly Where you were sat was far preferable
  24. best Shakespeare acting ever is Derek Jacobi in an episode of Frasier
