Don't knock fortnum and masons as some of their food were actually cheaper than Morrisons!
  2. Isn't "you is well bad, init" creative language?
  3. Shakespear was a grammar nazi nightmare. He invented 1700 words. Many of whom are still used today.
  4. Where's Red Devil?
  5. It's a good thing you don't work in government, El Pibe. They always making up words.
  6. El Pibe Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > "to avoid excessive pedanticness" > > pedantry ;-P Quite a few people uses 'pedanticnes'as this website shows. I was not aware of the word pedantry until now. Some Samsung and Sony televisions have mostly the same identical parts inside them. Panasonic have improved their televisions in the last two years and would be my number one choice today. LG is worth a shout too. However OLED TVs have none of the disadvantages shown in current television sets such as contrast levels and motion blurs. That is why Maxxi's Panasoninc Quintrix CRT still beats many of the current TVs in terms of picture quality.
  7. Looking forward to the QPR movie - 'survival in the premiership - the 12 months plan.'
  8. RosieH Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Wow, UDT, you found a film of Huguenot and MP? > Kudos. > Thanks Rosie. Funnily enough Huguenot the 'lie merchant' went through my mind as I watched the video. The 'MP' character can apply to any M&S customers though.
  9. I said before that the City & Utd will go to the wire. But the last few minutes of the city game was taking the 'biscuit'. City are worthy champions as they played best football and bought the premiership...
  10. Alan Medic, you're too kind with your comments. But with your ability to analyse on the basis of grammar and spelling then I'm sure people will come to you for advice instead of me. I shall also direct the idiotic coalition government to your attention. Where you're able to solve the deficit using grammar and spelling only. As for the war on terrorism, you can small mind the terrorist into submission without having to sacrifice the lives of our troops.
  11. Ever wondered why M&S customers think their food is so good? It has little to do with quality. It seems M&S custmers can't do rational thinking. Not sure why Cllr Barber is facing attacks. Surely he should be congratulated for bringing the current planning application to the wider community's attention. It is also good that Cllr Hamvas has taken an interest to avoid any political bias in the planning application consultation.
  12. Perhaps it's time to stop giving out advice due to lack of gratitude. Life is too short to give out advice, hey Quids.

Not sure where you got the idea on lots of potential Betamaxes-of-the-future. The last major format war was blu-ray v HD-DVD but hardly a concern for most people. eta: t to no to make not and to avoid excessive pedanticness from the likes of AM.
  14. I thought you might pick up on the 'technoogy' typo error where the L was missing. This is how small minded you are. But if you looked at my last paragraph then you would have noticed the right spelling of 'technology'. Back to big minded matters. Here's a preview to 'youview'.
  15. I suggest you wait for OLED television for better picture quality and energy consumption in the next few years. They'll be even thinner than current sets today. LG is expected to launch a 55-inch version in a few months for a bargain price of ?5000! They're not to be confused with LEDs which are a totally different technoogy. Also watch out for Youview, expected to be launched at the end of 2012. It will certain change the way you watch tv including smoother internet browsing, pvr functionality, HD freeview and more. All for a proposed ?200. Samsung makes good televisions, no doubt. But they do have a dubious business practice where they would substitute their highly prized s-pva panels for inferior AO panels. Resulting in a phenomenon known as panel lottery amongst system builders. Of couse, if I'm talking complete rubbish then please feel free to ask Alan Medic where he is able to recommend television technology on the basis of grammar and spelling!
  16. Ever wondered why M&S food looks so good on the telly?
  17. Great game.
  18. Let me see. This person has lived in East Dulwich for only eighteen months and now expecting the EDF to be only for those who live in SE22. I've known East Dulwich for a number of years and I've never heard so much snobbery until recent times. How did that happen?
  19. I liked his UNION Jack design on the tea cosy.
  20. Seeds of destruction, Maxxi. eta: some Portsmouth supporters still blame Harry for their administration.
  21. Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > One can only live in hope they give it away to > Spurs this time around. That's the least of their problems. According to recent reports, Redknapp said he wanted the club to be bold in the transfer market if they wanted to compete for the premiership. Well his track record isn't particularly good if you look at clubs like Portsmouth, Southampton & West Ham all enjoying championship football after Harry's ambitions.
  22. Alan Medic, I think your talent for small mindedness is wasted on this thread. Taking the piss out of Lionman's spelling isn't helpful to his question. The reason why I said 'it should be possible' is simply because the person taking over the contract is subject to a credit rating check.
  23. I know. It should be possible for another person to take over a phone contract as long as all parties agree. Ultimately it's down to the mobile phone provide to whether they would allow it.
  24. Only those for the small minded! ETA: Let's get one thing clear. Speaking fluidly is not grammatically incorrect if it involves a speech impediment as in the case of Roy Hodgson.
  25. Liverpool were millimetres from taking the game to extra time. Not bad for a team that started badly and were two nil down. You have to give credit to Chelsea. They started the game well. Their passes were fluid and closed Liverpool down well.
