AM, Glen Hoddle and Terry Venables as England managers. Their sackings were totally unrelated to football. Terry Venables had technically resigned his position but there were question marks about his business interests though. Also, Mutu sacked by Chelsea for taking drugs.

Sorry Otta but reading all of your posts on this subject it springs to mind that either you haven't properly researched the subject or have a poor grasp of logic.

Otta, your statements seems to be getting more ridiculous as time goes by. I've never said I hated Liverpool or any other clubs for that matter. All I did was merely pointed out Liverpool's moral position when it comes to buying players. Zidane acted unprofessionally during the World Cup final game against Italy. Are you seriously saying he acted entirely professionally in the sending off incident?

After all, last January they spent ?60m on two players, one accused of assaulting a woman and the other known for cannibalism on the pitch. edit to remove a double negative.

Otta Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I just find it hard to believe that Evra, having > been repeatedly racially abused, did not react at > al to the player, and didn't think to mention it > to the ref. What an absurd notion you have, Otter. Have you ever been racially abused, Otta? Just because you don't react to racial abuse doesn't mean the incident didn't happen. Evra is a professional footballer and as such he put his team's interests first before reporting the matter to the authorities. With regards to the video incident, John Terry was shouting and there must have been players around to be able to hear what he had said. In fact Cashley Cole was near to him and probably best placed to witness what was said. There appears to be plenty of evidence with the Suarez case but not with the Terry's. Hence my previous statement.

I'll be interested to hear what Anton has to say with the John Terry incident. Not as clear cut as the Suarez incident.

What a surprising result. I think the Man City win trumps the Man U win over Arsenal. I still think the two Manchester teams will be fighting out for the title towards the end of the season. And Man U haven't played well since the Cleverley injury. I'm a fan of Balotelli's football talent and is good to see him having a good game. He is going to be a great player once he sorts out his mental discipline and stays away from fireworks.

Please buy an Iphone for ?700 and with its ?500 profit margin helps Apple with their worthy cause. :-S

Android debuts Ice Cream Sandwich The new Android OS, called the Ice Cream Sandwich, is meant to be a very slick interface that makes the iphone software looks dated. The new Galaxy Nexus uses this new OS and should meet Ratty's needs. Apparently the phone uses facial recognition as a method to lock/unlock the handset and also very capable on the emails. But if you want to be don't know any better cool then go for the Iphone. It may not be the best phone on the market but with its price tag of ?700 you can show the world that you have more money than sense. Anyone for the Lighthouse Family... :-S

It seems BR is in the mood for the big game on Sunday.

http://www.neweconomics.org/about Oh dear Hugo you really are out of your depth. And I thought you were just blinkered on your mainstream thinking. The New Economics Foundation is a think tank that has been advising governments from around the world including the UK & EC since 1986. Their report included a 'quantitive analysis' that said that Bankers and Tax Advisors destroyed value in the economy.

It seems, Otta, that you live a sheltered life. I've seen the Police behaved badly towards Black people and frankly hearing your poorly informed statements just makes me wonder whether you find the issue between black people and the police difficult to comprehend. Moving on, Suarez is not exactly known for his honesty on the pitch and concern that Liverpool has chosen to support this vile person by claiming Evra had made up his allegation. I've never said Suarez was guilty of racism but with video evidence and witness statements from Evra's team mates does not bode well for the Suarez's cause.

Maxxi, the Strata's turbines were envisage to generate 8% of the building's energy needs but I've not seen any official confirmation that it can do this. I attended a number of buildings as part of the Open House event where one owner had said his wind turbine was completely useless.
-
Apparently they don't work well in London. too many tall buildings. Southwark Council installed a wind turbine in the Heygate Estate (?) and it generated a paltry amount of energy.
-
I'm afraid it seems you're ill informed of Suarez's history, Otta. Your stereotype claim is without foundation. Evra has been a pro in this country for many years. It doesn't make sense for someone of Evra's ilk to make something up. I applaud Evra for making a stand against racism and to threaten Evra with punishments for reporting such an incident is just as bad as the original offence itself. A Norwich fan was banned for life for using the same racist word on his twitter account. I hope this sets the precedent for Suarez's punishment if found guilty.

I'm afraid I'd like to keep some of my affairs private. Sorry Bob. -
My dear Hugo, the New Economics Foundation isn't a website it's a political think tank. All the political parties have been using think tanks for a number of years.

Thanks Bob but I'll know when the time is right to start on the garden project. I rarely get my projects wrong. -

You could be right Bob but gardening is not yet one of my priority projects. -
Brandishing the imaginary card is just a reminder to the referee to make sure he/she follows the rules of the game. No different to a victim reporting an alleged criminal matter to a Police Officer. I'll bet Suarez, the cheating scum bag, has branded imaginary cards in his career.

Well for me it's about getting the garden design right, perhaps growing rare plants, and to ensure the garden fits into my lifestyle. -
DaveR Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > H, you think it doesn't support my argument > because you (still) don't understand my argument. > I'll try again. > It may be fruitless having a debate with Hugo since he has a blinkered view on matters where it doesn't support his own views. Some years ago, the New Economics Foundation published a report which similarly pointing out that Tax Advisors and Bankers were destroying value in the economy.
