They concluded that the pensions were affordable. The figures were not any different to those given in the Hutton report. I'm afraid Marmora Man most of your ideas/concepts are usually based on myths, poorly researched or out of date ideologies from the Thatcher era.

What makes you think I'm losing out on quality?;-) I'm very good at seeking quality products at the right price. Probably saved a small fortune and experienced better quality since stopped shopping at Waitrose.

I don't have a problem with Justin King, Chief Executive of Sainsbury's,being paid ?900,000 a year as the figure is not as excessive as that belonging to senior staff at our UK banks which are supported with public money. For example, the top 50 Barclays staff takes home ?400m in bonuses. Anyway, I suspect one day Justin King will carve a career in politics just like Archie Norman. Moving on, I think it's time the dispute over pensions is ended as there have been so much misinformation thrown by the government and press that the public doesn't have the full facts at hand to know what's right from wrong. Even Sir GOD was alarmed by the myths and have wrote an article in the Guardian last year.

Then we should see some proper flair. Rodwell is a very good player but I'd like to see him play as a footballing centre half/sweeper.

I want to know where I am on the East Dulwich Forum's rich list. I suspect Loz is at number one as he's so obssessed with money and taxes.

The market will decide - what does this mean?
Undisputedtruth replied to silverfox's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
'The market will decide' is just a tool similar to consensus. The main problem is that some people have more money than others. Anyway, I view the term 'the market will decide' as total bullsh!t as I think many of the commentators just makes up the commentary on the spot. Just like Hugo! -
St Paul's camp and anti-capitalism
Undisputedtruth replied to silverfox's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I'd like to see the journalists going into the banks and ask the staff how their organisations screwed our economy, added trillions to the national debt and bring misery to millions of people. I bet they wouldn't get a coherent answer. -
Alan Medic Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Apart from having a big mouth I don't remember any > other reason Clough couldn't have been England > manager. Am I wrong? Cloghie's big mouth was the least of FA's worries. The FA didn't want a power struggle with Cloughie. Moving onto the England game it seems the team is full of centre backs. Three out of the four England midfielders: Gareth Barry, Jones, and Rodwell, have all played as centre halves in their careers.Perhaps if England played a defender as a striker then we could have got a proper goal rather than an own one. But then Barry and Rodwell both had sitters.

Is Fifa right to stand against political symbolism in football? Yes Is wearing a Poppy a sign of political symbolism? Probably not. Wars are evil and all of the dead, whatever their nationalities, should be remembered for their sacrifices. Better for FIFA to stand against all wars and violence. Does Fifa hates the British way of life? No. Does Fifa hates England? Of course they bloody do. Give us the bloomin' world cup.

Surprisingly I've that same Miele Solution vacuum cleaner and a few albums from Stevie Wonder at home.

Otta Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Harry will manage England before he retires. FACT! Given that Redknapp is standing trial for tax evasion it would seem unlikely if he'll ever manage England in the future. The FA has a track record in selecting managers with squeaky clean records. Otherwise, Brian Clough, the people's choice, would have been an England manager years ago. And why was Graham Taylor appointed for the England job then? Shame really, as I feel Redknapp can do a decent job for England and certainly help them to play football in the right way.

Please don't stop BR, Laddy Muck was milking the 8-2 defeat of Arsenal for many weeks.

Them Man City players definitely need some help with their dress sense. They look as though they bought their clothes from M&S.

Good call, excuse the pun, Ratty. Best of all it's strongly rumoured the Galaxy handset will get the Ice Cream Sandwich update in January.

Does anyone know any fab' Duck breast recipes?
Undisputedtruth replied to AdamM's topic in The Lounge
Mine is roast duck and parsnips with potatoes served with an apple cider sauce. -
Well in those days you were allowed to do a man's tackle but I've always thought the Paul Davis' incident was related to racial abuse and about his mother. I'll bet Glenn Cockeril kept his mouth shut during the rest of his career.
-
Well it seems Evra have lifted the lid on racism in football as clearly these incidences have been happening for many years. The Paul Davis broken jaw incident was related to racial abuse.

Using the Liverpool line over the Suarez's affair as your own doesn't say much for you.

Barry Ferguson and Alan Mcgregor were caught making v-signs and consequently banned for life by Scotland.

@mikeb, Well it's known that the government have used NEF but Huguenot was claiming they were just a website with mere opinions. Also NEF pointed out assumptions made with the bankers calculations. No one knows for sure how long the slow down will last and it could be argued that NEF were generous to the bankers with their assumptions. Personally, I'd rather have a taxation system that recognises social justice.
