  1. Killing two birds with one stone. Cleaning the kitchen and listening to the music on my ipod on shuffle. Not just because it's a long time since I listened to music but the not controlling of it was good. Accepting every tune for what it is to me, good or just ok. Made me realise how hard it is (for me) not to want to control what I'm exposed to and how hard it is to just go with the flow when you have become 'set' in your ways. In the space of a week my son has read a book called 'The Power of Now', started realising things about himself and has now just purchased a book called something like 'How to become rich'. Good lad.

  3. Question in the subject. Thanks.
  4. Isn't the point of a refuge that the address is secret?
  5. Great draw in CL for St.Pat's of Dublin if both they and Celtic qualify. Can see them using the Aviva and getting a full house.
  6. I've had a problem recently which means my phone is being returned for the 2nd time. A pain but not the end of the world.

  8. Are you Woodrot vgrant? I suggest buying one of those powerful water pistols and wait for your enemy to show up. Cats don't like water do they? I find it hard to believe you would get rid of your pet without more of a fight.
  9. If that was a short story Sue what would a long one be? I couldn't read it all. How did you get on?
  10. Me too and well described to give a feeling for what it was like to be there.
  11. It seems to me that spellcheckers are American orientated. I just sent an email with the word 'specialise' but the checker replaces the last s with an 'z' (maybe it's 'a z'). Does anyone care anymore if it's English or American English? Hot topic for a Sunday afternoon.
  12. Why are there so many 'pitches' on the ground? Some appear to be nowhere near the centre. Just wondering as I'm not a cricket fan as such.
  13. Surely calling them 'a good team' is easier?
  14. "I have said before now that football is a simple game: 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans always win. Again, this time I will be very surprised if they don't." You can guess who wrote the above if you don't know. Not a particularly good idea for Messi's Dad to tell the world how tired his son is. Is he trying to protect him for being a scapegoat if Argentina lose or is he trying to lure the Germans into a false sense of security? He does seem to have run out of juice. To me everything points to a German win which undoubtedly means they wont. I'm due ?100 if Argentina win from work. Perhaps the betting experts can tell me if I should hedge?
  15. My clan has had an annual gathering to compete for a Trophy for the last 17 years. This year's base camp has suddenly become unavailable leaving the organiser with a headache (not me). As two will be flying into Gatwick has anyone any suggestions of where to stay, preferably self-catering. Somewhere either towards London or not too far the other way, accessable within reason by rail. Half the group are 60 plus so it doesn't need to be child friendly (or maybe it does). Budget not to break the bank. Any suggestions welcome at this late stage as it's currently looking like it will be cancelled.
  16. Listening to a Uruguayan journalist this morning, he said the consensus in the country is that Suarez is more suited to Liverpool than he ever will be for Barcelona. How they reach that conclusion I don?t know but I guess it will be hard to replicate the season he had anywhere.
  17. When you get up at 5 in the morning it's too much for me to stay up. I tried last night and made it to half time. At least the Final starts an hour earlier I think.
  18. I think your leg was being gently pulled RPC.
  19. Likewise, and that was just once when I was about 14. Older hippy brother tried to bring me out of it. Looking into his eyes they started dripping blood and he started growing fangs.
  20. Oh good. Thanks.
  21. Can anyone give me an idea of how long it takes to play one game of this if there are just two players on each team?

It's why.I've left stuff out for the council to collect and its often been gone before they were due to collect. To me it was of no use but if something is of use to someone else I have no problem with it. If I came across them I would still ask why or how.
  23. I'm sorry you have been invaded like this. I live on this road too. Did you conclude they were after anything(s) in particular? It very bold to do this in daylight.
  24. Frankly what's in my bins is just rubbish. If someone was going through it I'd ask why. I didn't say I'm against it. I'd be curious though.
