  1. The spelling teh...........why?
  2. Some bastard ran over my cat is a thread elsewhere. Well, given the nature of cats as explained here surely it's not unexpected they might have an untimely death? Cats don't seem to want to be owned. They do what they like. It amazes me so many people want them as 'pets' when so many get lost or run over in this case. I haven't looked in the 'lost' section but I bet my bottom dollar it's mostly about cats.
  3. I didn't think you meant what it seemed you wrote which is why I simply asked why? I can't understand why anyone would boo their own team however crap they might be. What ratty was referring to is the inability of some England fans to be good losers and turn to violence when their team loses. I remember hearing a story from the Euros in 1988 in West Germany. Ireland beat England 1-0 which was a massive result for us. After the match a group of English 'thugs' went into a large bar which was full of Irish fans. They barged their way to the bar and made it obvious they were up for a fight. Not wanting to get involved in that sort of stuff, the Irish fans took their drinks and went out to the street to finish them. I thought it was the perfect response to the idiots who wanted to cause trouble. Thankfully most England fans are not like that. Ironically our manager was the one and only Jackie Charlton. World Cup winner.
  4. Fer feck sake Otta, I wasn't trying to stir. Read what you wrote. I asked why would you want people to boo England which was before you said if someone did they were a bit of an arse. I thought you were encouraging booing your own team initially.
  5. I asked 'why?' Otta as your post suggests otherwise to your following explanation.
  6. Alan Brazil is an expert at it but Mike Parry is just funny with his unique brand of it.

Please. Why?
  8. It was. England were great in the 1st half but blew a few chances. The AB's dominated the match after that until England had a final flourish.
  9. I do. I see it as an artform. When I first came to this country I soon realised you had to say what you meant to be understood whereas where I was from it was almost the exact opposite.

  11. That's two ruled out.
  12. Why would ianr know more than you? At face value he was trying to help/inform which appears to be his m.o. on the forum. Good for him.
  13. My for's are: Spain Wife's from there, son supports them England I've lived here long enough Uruguay Little country Against Spain Wife's from there and has no interest in football England One good result (if it happens) and they're going to win the WC France Fuck them Switzerland Isn't Sepp Blatter from there?
  14. Wonder why Barca are getting rid of him. Anyone know?

Suppose Rangers are the finest football team in Pagandom.
  16. There's a thread somewhere saying where the 1st test was being shown. It may have been The Rye but nothing on their website about the 2nd.
  17. One player from my son's era made it to the 1st team. Kalvin Morath Gibbs. Played a few seasons and vanished. I don't know why.

When the lads got to the end of that > season they were all released as they were too old > and none were taken on by the then manager, again > political. Very sad. That was probably Ian Neal. My son played with his son Lewis from U10 I think. I have some great memories of matches and wins. Wasn't so keen on all the nights spent taking him to training though. You didn't say when your son started playing as if it was as early as U10's they probably played on the same team. As this is the irrational rage thread I'd like to add the behaviour at matches of the parents of some kids who played football.

When my son played for the under age teams what drove me mad was kids talking about headering the ball. What the hell is headering? Did your son play for DH prior to the youth team PD? Mine one is 23 now. Stopped playing @ U14's
  20. Surely you guys know by now that Rooney needs game time to get up to speed after he has had an injury. When he's at his best he has been playing regularly. At his best he is very good. Certainly good enough for the England team. However, if he is to reach his peak he will be played in the opener and the rest. If England make the last 16 and he has played 3 games, he can have no excuses for not performing thereafter. Hopefully he won't have to be carried until then.
  21. Thought he was going to Luton.
  22. I took a tip from an eejet who it seems got it from the Daily Mail.
  23. If there's a problem with your post missefficient, in my view it's because you are looking for answers to questions which require people to read an awful lot. A simple resume of what you would like to do/offer and maybe some numbered questions may get a better response. That said I'm a veggie but don't actually need anyone to cater for that. However there may be busier people out there who have the funds to be able to afford to pay for someone else to cater for their needs. Good luck with your venture.
  24. Can you start a sentence with 'or'?
  25. You need to update your 'LOST' list.
