People were told they would be much better off by leaving the EU, thereby blaming the EU for the inequality of wealth in the country.
  2. Round 4 coming up.... Saturday Scotland v Wales 14.15 England v Italy 16.45 Sunday Ireland v France 15.00

If was near the pub, it was near the island. It's quite possible to park legally there but in my experience it's not a wise thing to do, as it doesn't leave much space for vehicles to get by. I've actually had a car written off there. I'm pretty sure I told our councillor about this but nothing has happened.
  4. Presumably there's some special formula being used by the current leader? Round 3 Leaderboard

Seems the UK managed to f**k up potential trade deals with both China and Japan due to sheer stupidity. Meanwhile the media manages to focus on a teenage girl in a foreign country who is apparently a threat to the nation. To keep the story going, let's strip her of her citizenship. That will keep the great unwashed busy for a while.

The impact of social media on the EU referendum. http://www.referendumanalysis.eu/eu-referendum-analysis-2016/section-7-social-media/impact-of-social-media-on-the-outcome-of-the-eu-referendum/ This doesn't mention why the leave campaign had more influence, just that it did. How it did is another story. If you are so inclined this is worth watch...? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6gf5whRuQ0

  10. I had an appointment this week which I had obtained online about a month ago. It was the only one there. When speaking with the Doc about a future appointment and telling her there's often nothing or very little available online, she said they have a new system in place (another one?). According to her the online booking are put on each day at 10am. I'd be interested to hear if anyone tries this and what the outcome was. I also asked her how do I obtain the result of a blood test I was going to have, as I don't seem to be able to access my medical records via 'patient access'. She told me to let reception know I want this facility. The receptionist said that wasn't possible, that I had to complete a form and subsequently use a different site to access this info. Can't remember the name, something like 'my doc' possibly.

KK, you forgot to mention the beard! I ask only because I wondered what people think god is. Your description is probably pretty normal and in that sense, I'd agree with you, he doesn't exist. I would however, though not call it god, suggest that there is a higher consciousness than what humans normally tap into.

Anyone follow @J_amesp on Twitter? His take is quite scary.
  17. The printer I use at work counts the pages printed and based on that tells you, you are low on ink. Reset the counter for the different colours and bingo, no more low on ink messages. Plenty of You Tube videos on the subject as to how to do it. You won't find it in an instruction manual I'd guess.

I don't understand why he's there in > the first place, he might as well not be, he > provides no barrier between pedestrians and the > traffic. It's really baffling! I'd argue that it isn't the safest place to cross and that the island is a contributing factor in making it more dangerous than elsewhere. If you see reaching the island as a sort of safe haven to reach while crossing, you tend to only look in the direction you would expect a vehicle to come from. Because of the island and the fact that parking is legal quite close to it, it often makes it difficult for larger vehicles to get by. Due to this, sometimes they will pass the island on the wrong side on the road rather than go slowly. A while back I was a microsecond away from being flattened by a van which accelerated to do this. So in my opinion far from being safe, its position with parking in close proximity, make it a potential death trap as I almost found out.
