I wasn't a regular but would sometimes stop off there in preference to anywhere else on the way home. Time flies. -
I believe in Canada it's enshrined in their law that any referendum has to involve a vote on clearly defined options. That certainly didn't happen here in the case of Leave (we all knew what we voted for nonsense)vote.

Thanks. That made me realise a guide book would do the trick.

Ah right, I see. Well I do now, but I didn't then. Thanks.

I headed to the one I found online and discovered it has closed down. Does anyone know if they have a presence anywhere in London? Just wanted to get some info/maps of Rome.

You've taken my post out of context Jenny!

robbin Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The notion of organised 'opposition' to a decision > taken in a democratic vote (with a huge voter > turnout) does seem a bit odd, in a democracy. So who are those chaps who sit opposite the PM in the HOC every Wednesday? Is that the viewing gallery?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-47143135# Special place in hell for Brexiteers! PS The headline is BBC spin. He actually said for those who planned Brexit.

I don't know if anyone reads Peston, but this is interesting. https://www.itv.com/news/2019-02-03/theresa-may-cannot-resist-pressure-to-delay-brexit/ This is the current UK government, which is probably a misnomer. As for stockpiling, I believe it's a sensible measure if done over a period of time so as not to cause shortages before Brexit happens (if it does). It will in effect reduce demand for some products which may be in scarce supply.

I don't believe everything I read or hear, but I'm happy that those who have spoken of supply chain problems, weren't joking. It's not that long ago that KFC had to close many of its outlets due to a supply chain problem (no chicken). This was nothing to do with Brexit, but is a good example of how things can go wrong. Medicines are being stockpiled. Why is that happening? This article is on the beeb's website today https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-47095011 If your view is based on 'common sense' I would say mine is too. Border checks cause delays seems pretty logical. What logic have you used?

Good start for rendel and I got the consolation prize....
-
You think the possibility of food shortages is a project of fear and has no basis in the potential reality of exiting the EU without a deal?
-
Sometimes you have to admit you really haven't a clue. This is one of those times for me.

Yeah it is. Hello Quids and Mick. France literally threw it away or at least passed it away. In the old days fumbling the ball like North did would have been a knock on. And I would have been younger! Still I reckon there are quite a few games where the predictions will be split this season. All to predict for. GSPs may prove crucial.

Just had a reminder that one entrant has yet to pick. That's you RD. When you lock your picks you can't change them, but you do get to see what others picked.

My wife didn't have a vote.

Round 1 starts tomorrow evening. Still time to join. The fixtures are: Friday France v Wales 20.00 Saturday Scotland v Italy 14.15 Saturday Ireland v England 16.45

I'm not so sure. I don't think there will be a GS this year. I can see Wales winning all but the France game (and I wouldn't write them off in that either).

Where we are now as opposed to two weeks ago..... *May opens the exit door* "Can you see the unicorn?" *the answer overwhelmingly* "Nooooooo" *May closes the door and Brady says* "Can you imagine a Unicorn?" *the answer mostly* "Oh yes, I can see it" There ends my life as a political correspondent.
