  1. Michael Portillo on This Week suggested that the way BJ will get out of the corner is by letting the people of NI have a referendum on the backstop. The one which affects NI only. On the face of it this makes sense as NI is overall pro EU. How he would bring about this is another thing.
  2. He doesn't want to leave without a deal but he can't possibly say how he would get one by October 31st. Why are some contenders spouting this bollix?

  4. Someone I know has mislaid return train tickets to Manchester next month. They were bought via Trainline. They have said they can't help. She still has the receipt and booking confirmation by email. Anyone with experience of what to do, to avoid having to buy tickets again?
  5. I can advise you what not to do. A few years ago having taking redundancy, I was looking for another perm job. I got an interview for this (admin) role at (is it) Chelsea Hospital(?). I really didn't prepare well enough, in that although I had loads of the required experience,I didn't research anything about the hospital. The two ladies who interviewed me weren't impressed, and needless to say I didn't get the job. Good luck with the interview.
  6. Another option if anyone is interested, which we took yesterday. Bus to Denmark Hill. Overground to Clapham Junction. Train from CJ to Richmond and a one stop tube journey to Kew. Took an hour but with a bit of luck with timings, it could have been 10-15 minutes less.
  7. I hope Watford do, which isn't exactly predicting they will win.
  8. Well done. How many of those have an alternative EDF name I wonder?
  9. That's a weird one. I didn't notice.
  10. Current WC betting:

In the case of these elections I see it as simply a case of voting for leaving the EU or Remaining. I'm not sure what you are getting at.
  12. Well done Mr.Lush. Always fair that the person with the least incorrect predictions wins I think. Beautifully organised RD :) It's a lot of work over a whole season!
  13. Actually keano NI wasn't being sold down the swanny. If its special status was accepted then it would have found itself in a unique position which could only benefit its economy. It voted to Remain, remember. It's only the DUP who scuppered that. They're the ones who want to maintain the Union and not be treated differently to anywhere else in the UK. But only when it suits them. You highlighted the main problem with Brexit in your last post. Your 'idea of Brexit'. It's because there is no one idea of Brexit that it has failed and will continue to do so. There will be no agreement. Just more can kicking until October and beyond. What was it you wanted Brexit for anyway?
  14. Beautifully put RD.
  15. Is it just a single vote each in London?

I don't believe that figure. Of the 5 EU citizens I contacted at work, 3 came back to me and said they had registered. The other 2 didn't reply. That's a poll showing that 60% have registered.
  17. RD, would you say your prediction path has had an uncanny parallel with the results of the manager of a well known football club? Down to 5 LG, down to 5!

Don't see on what grounds the Speaker will allow another MV this week.
  21. Read my post again.I asked a question.
  22. Just because an insult is used commonly does not make it right. It's tantamount to bullying.

  24. So the government has rejected the petition but it will still be debated on April 1st. Is this a joke?
