In the case of these elections I see it as simply a case of voting for leaving the EU or Remaining. I'm not sure what you are getting at.
  3. Well done Mr.Lush. Always fair that the person with the least incorrect predictions wins I think. Beautifully organised RD :) It's a lot of work over a whole season!
  4. Actually keano NI wasn't being sold down the swanny. If its special status was accepted then it would have found itself in a unique position which could only benefit its economy. It voted to Remain, remember. It's only the DUP who scuppered that. They're the ones who want to maintain the Union and not be treated differently to anywhere else in the UK. But only when it suits them. You highlighted the main problem with Brexit in your last post. Your 'idea of Brexit'. It's because there is no one idea of Brexit that it has failed and will continue to do so. There will be no agreement. Just more can kicking until October and beyond. What was it you wanted Brexit for anyway?
  5. Beautifully put RD.
  6. Is it just a single vote each in London?

I don't believe that figure. Of the 5 EU citizens I contacted at work, 3 came back to me and said they had registered. The other 2 didn't reply. That's a poll showing that 60% have registered.
  8. RD, would you say your prediction path has had an uncanny parallel with the results of the manager of a well known football club? Down to 5 LG, down to 5!

Don't see on what grounds the Speaker will allow another MV this week.
  12. Read my post again.I asked a question.
  13. Just because an insult is used commonly does not make it right. It's tantamount to bullying.

  15. So the government has rejected the petition but it will still be debated on April 1st. Is this a joke?
  16. Is it not the truth that most people were hardly bothered by being in the EU before it was decided there should be a referendum? Since then, those with their own agenda have managed to split the country in two over something that wasn't even an issue. How to heal this is the biggest issue this country faces. Perhaps it's a good thing there was a referendum because eventually the problems the country has needed to be addressed. Currently many people think those problems are due to being in the EU. They may well be in for a shock if they find it has nothing to do with it.

Yes you're right. Wouldn't make sense if it wasn't for that reason. Seems May if going to put in place whatever is necessary to allow both as dates for when the UK leaves.

"But one thing is clear - barring dramatic developments, it confirms that the UK will not be leaving the EU on 29 March as originally intended." This is the last sentence in an article on the BBC News website. I don't think it can be correct because as UK law stands it leaves the EU on March 29th. The two extensions offered (so far) are based on the PM getting agreement to the WA through the HOC, which is unlikely to happen. The 2 week extension is to allow the UK govt. to put in place the necessary legislation to participate in the European elections. This one puzzles me. Either way how do those supersede current UK law. I think the comment is assuming an awful lot unless I'm missing something. Am I?

May blaming MP's for the inability of her to get her deal through, must be the last straw. She's got to go. Enter who though?

But where on Earth does she get the idea she would be even granted a long extension and for what purpose? Come next week if she loses another vote on her deal, then it's got to be No Deal or Article 50 being revoked.

  25. I'm sure there will be a WC game. Ireland do play England but just in Twickenham.
