  1. Is it not the truth that most people were hardly bothered by being in the EU before it was decided there should be a referendum? Since then, those with their own agenda have managed to split the country in two over something that wasn't even an issue. How to heal this is the biggest issue this country faces. Perhaps it's a good thing there was a referendum because eventually the problems the country has needed to be addressed. Currently many people think those problems are due to being in the EU. They may well be in for a shock if they find it has nothing to do with it.

Yes you're right. Wouldn't make sense if it wasn't for that reason. Seems May if going to put in place whatever is necessary to allow both as dates for when the UK leaves.

"But one thing is clear - barring dramatic developments, it confirms that the UK will not be leaving the EU on 29 March as originally intended." This is the last sentence in an article on the BBC News website. I don't think it can be correct because as UK law stands it leaves the EU on March 29th. The two extensions offered (so far) are based on the PM getting agreement to the WA through the HOC, which is unlikely to happen. The 2 week extension is to allow the UK govt. to put in place the necessary legislation to participate in the European elections. This one puzzles me. Either way how do those supersede current UK law. I think the comment is assuming an awful lot unless I'm missing something. Am I?

May blaming MP's for the inability of her to get her deal through, must be the last straw. She's got to go. Enter who though?

But where on Earth does she get the idea she would be even granted a long extension and for what purpose? Come next week if she loses another vote on her deal, then it's got to be No Deal or Article 50 being revoked.

  10. I'm sure there will be a WC game. Ireland do play England but just in Twickenham.
  11. Brexit hasn't even happened yet. I'm still waiting to hear of one potential tangible benefit of Brexit. Anyone?
  12. Really. I'd noticed his unusual absence in this thread. Something must have pee'd him off elsewhere.

  14. Well done to RC on retaining his title. 3rd time in 4 years I think! Excellent tactic from Mick Mac and Jack on how to avoid this week's wooden spoon. Round 5 Final Table
  15. Wasn't Paddy Welsh? I like this cartoon from the Irish Times today...
  16. Won't be any complaints about watering the pitch then!
  17. And Wales approached the 6 Nations executive as opposed to Ireland, when the norm is to ask the opposing team.
  18. Final round tomorrow and a chance for a few to make some bold predictions maybe? Fixtures are: Italy v France 12.30 Wales v Ireland 14.45 England v Scotland 17.00

May can have a 3rd MV or even a 4th, but she must respect the will of the British people from 3 years ago. Yeah right. Corbyn playing silly buggers with two weeks to go. What does he hope to achieve? He should be supporting a 2nd referendum as was agreed at the Labour conference.

No time to read that currently, but on what basis is the extension granted?

The ironic thing about the DUP's influence which means there can be no 'border' in the Irish Sea, is that by all accounts the majority in NI have no issue with that as it removes the problem of the potential land border on the island and is likely to benefit its economy by it having 'special status'.
