  1. I received a letter from the council today asking for feedback on the proposal to extend the market. It doesn't affect me so I've no issues with it. Just posting this in the event some people haven't received the letter and it does affect them.
  2. You never had a kid as a life choice Louisa? Be thankful your parents did.
  3. I'll have it....the wine I mean.
  4. If any of you predictors are interested and don't know about it, Sky's Super 6 is free to play. Seems two guys predicted 6 out 6 correct scores in midweek. There's a tiebreak where you predict the minute the first goal is scored. So one guy should have won ?250k. ?5k for the best score each week. All games are Saturday 3pm KO's. Here's the link: https://super6.skysports.com/

Well he might have if he got the chance
  6. As RD said previously, wait till the luck runs out.........
  7. The first question to the PM yesterday at PMQ's. It's about Boris. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b085z8g5/prime-ministers-questions-14122016
  8. Why not camp outside overnight and beat the queues?

I find that interesting. Do you mean as opposed to a 'potential' abduction or have I not read something? If you do, it sounds like police speak for not really knowing what the motive was.
  10. When is tea time in this country? It used to be when I now have my dinner, which used to be when I now have my lunch. Has the government got rid of it?
  11. Need to be there for a 6am flight, so it will be early......
  12. I no....teddy
  13. I predict teddyboy will edit his post.
  14. Agree with Otta's point. The fact is no one who has posted knows the facts.
  15. Want to explain what your grudge is? It's a pointless thread otherwise.
  16. Trees don't produce the pollutants the article refers to. Saying they increase pollution just isn't true.
  17. What a crap article that is, if that's what it's supposed to be.
  18. Very little. I've got a box set of Springsteen live 75-85. Only a couple others. Sold everything I did have before coming here.
  19. I've got some I want to offload. Haven't been used in 25 years or more. How can I tell if they are in good condition as I don't have a record player (what I used to call them anyway)? Might they be damaged other than with scratches and are scratches visible to the untrained eye? Any expert advice out there please?
  20. In law I think the goods on display would be considered as an invitation to treat. Those out back not so I would hazard a guess, as they are not on display. If that's correct there is no reason for them to offer you anything 'out back'.
  21. Isn't spending here dictated by where it's going to win votes?

I kid you not it reared it's head on Irish radio the day before yesterday. After 51 minutes on the podcast.. http://www.rte.ie/radio1/liveline/programmes/2016/1207/837246-liveline-wednesday-7-december-2016/?clipid=2349445#2349445 Anyway, my copies are going for free to a good home. PS It would be a little less confusing it there was a thread for 2017 predictions.

That would be unfortunate for them given what happened to the last one....... http://metro.co.uk/2016/09/20/west-ham-fans-devastated-as-upton-park-is-blown-up-for-pierce-brosnan-film-6140408/
  24. Good things about Christmas over the years: Believing in Santa Going home to family and meeting friends I might only see once a year Having a child who believed in Santa Having a child who stopped believing in Santa It's generally a nice time of year. I don't pay attention to adverts. The only thing I dislike about it is that there has got to be people out there with kids who just can't afford to give them what they would like to. Actually there's one thing I hate about it, and that's people talking about it feckin months in advance.
