Don't be put off by Sue. > She/He is a right regular PITA Shows how much knowledge you have of a regular poster when you don't know if Sue is a he or a she. Have a guess. As far as I'm concerned she is no PITA (which I had to look up). There's been an unjustified overreaction by some on this thread to her contributions.
  2. I support both Sue and Bed Bug on this. I don't support self appointed thread policemen/women.

Trump wouldn't pay $1000 to have a lentil on his face.
  4. If you play in goals, see thread below.
  5. Ridiculous decision by FIFA to expand the WC to 48 teams. This is what the European Club Association wrote about it: "The European Club Association reiterates that it is in principle not in favour of an expanded World Cup. "We fail to see the merits to changing the current format of 32 that has proven to be the perfect formula from all perspectives. Questionable is also the urgency in reaching such an important decision, with nine years to go until it becomes applicable, without the proper involvement of stakeholders who will be impacted by this change. "We understand this decision has been taken based on political reasons rather than sporting ones and under considerable political pressure, something ECA believes is regrettable. "ECA will analyse in detail the impact and the consequences of the new format and will address the matter at the next meeting of its Executive Board scheduled for the end of January."

Things can't be that bad if you class a draw as a defeat. This table shows how the Xmas fixtures have favoured Chelsea: Hours that will be taken to play all three festive matches Hours taken from the start of a team's first game to the end of their third game 1 Chelsea 223 2 Watford, Crystal Palace 201.5 3 Swansea 199 4 Arsenal, Bournemouth 198.75 5 Stoke 172.75 6 West Ham 172.5 7 Man Utd 172.25 8 Burnley, Everton, Sunderland, Tottenham, West Brom 170 9 Hull, Man City 167.75 10 Leicester, Middlesbrough 167.5 11 Liverpool 143.75 12 Southampton 117

  18. In an effort to keep this thread on topic, surely there's someone around who can multiply the loaves so there's enough to go around for everyone? How are they for fish?
  19. That last post is somewhat worrying......
  20. Welcome back Sam, only unbeaten England manager in history 😊
  21. *Caw said the crow*.........probably a bit obscure. Anyone finish it?
  22. Prosthetic leg?
  23. James, I think Dulwich Fox lives nearer to NCR than I do. I got a letter. As they (the council) obviously want this to happen, perhaps they are only writing to people who don't live close to the road and will have no objection. It's more money for the council I presume.
  24. Are there any DRINKING establishments any more? Is it not more like 'how can we make a profit' establishments? Not that I think parents shouldn't control their kids in a place often frequented by adults without kids.
  25. I don't live that close to it to be bothered. Didn't know there was another thread so apologies for starting another one.
