  1. Thanks for that. I intend holding my ground if I'm offered a paltry amount. Just wondered if I can insist on it being repaired? I don't see why not. I'd be happy to accept a decent payoff as we don't really need the car and I'll get more exercise. But I've probably spent more than its worth to someone else this year alone with a full service, new tyres etc.
  2. A different sort of question but don't really need to start a new thread about it. My little runaround was hit last week and subsequently taken away by my insurers to a garage. I exchanged details with the driver who did it (car was parked, really bad driving). My question is, will my car be repaired at any cost given it's undoubtedly going to cost more than the car is worth or will the other insurance company try to make me an offer for the car to be written off? If so what can I expect them to offer a) the value of the car which is very little or b) something large enough to persuade me to accept? Is there a c)?
  3. That seems an awful long distance without anything manmade in sight.
  4. If access to the single market costs the same or similar to being an EU member (as I've read/heard it might somewhere), then at least you have control of your borders and laws. Just no ?350m a week for the NHS.
  5. My Mrs was complaining about it when I got home today. I must have slept like a log. Hope not to get another misdirected note through the letterbox. This was somewhere else though.
  6. What will you do if you find a girlfriend?
  7. Someone phones you. You answer to find that the caller isn't paying attention and engaged in a conversation with someone else while waiting for me to answer. Well I did answer and as you couldn't be arsed to listen I put the phone down on you. Timewasters.

  9. Never watched before until this series. I like it though maybe I don't know what I'm missing from previous series.
  10. Try posting in lost and found.
  11. I had a bet on Leinster v Munster being over 39.5 points. How many were there.....39. There should be a way to score a point in rugby.
  12. When I first moved here thirty something years ago, I went for an interview with a Swedish/Norwegian newsprint company. I was interviewed by Ake Inghammer, a very pleasant man. Being a bit/very green I answered questions honestly. He asked me if I was ambitious. When I replied truthfully 'no', he burst out laughing and gave me the job.
  13. You could also imagine some agricultural full back having being made a fool of, wanting to teach him a lesson.
  14. Do we have to be in ED at time of writing BB?.

Sorry to distract from the topic in hand but do you mean you are a father of adults? I'm not sure you need particular qualifications to be horrified when children starve to death.
  16. @JL I don't think Georgie was playing against adults at that age. There's a big difference between 13 and 17 in a kids development. Small piece in the Metro this morning about the boys debut last night as a sub for the U20's. Gist of it is they won't be pushing him too soon. Sounds like they have already.
  17. Is he still 13? Great footage but playing against much older players doesn't sound like a good idea for someone that young.
  18. Feeling pleased with myself backing the Spaniards to tie from 2 down. They even went 4 down. Great golf even more enjoyable.
  19. I really have no idea where you came up with that question. Is an interest in Human Rights a particularly British thing?

In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community.... I'm not. The guy was stitched up. He was also very silly considering how much he wanted the job in the first place. If it wasn't for the media he would still be in a job. Who knows what England's longest serving manager Walter Winterbottom, got up to?
  21. I for one don't know why SA had to leave. What's the big deal? The money he might have made would have to have been run by his bosses, in his own words. The rest is just opinions and knowledge of certain matters. Why does the England manager have be like the Pope or the Queen? I'm pretty sure I'm in a minority of one here.
  22. 7200 thanks Quids.
  23. 4400.........doesn't
  24. West Ham not going well. Is it the stadium or what? Not sure why they sold Tomkins.
  25. I there a reason you need to take it to allow you to cycle, otherwise what's the point?
