  1. Well I delivered the letter to 182. I wonder why the author or the noisy neighbours haven't added to the thread. Doesn't everyone read the EDF?
  2. Oh I'd like to see that RPC. Do you live anywhere CPR? What night is a good one to play loud music? What time is late?
  3. Matching washed socks. Why have I 4 odd ones?
  4. So you're complaining about a polite note from someone who didn't feel the need or urge to scream. If that's middle class I'd like to join. What are the requirements? PS What the f*** is this class thing you are so obsessed about in this country?
  5. Maybe no beer because it was Millwall?
  6. Thank you for the very polite letter you put through my letterbox. No it wasn't me who was playing the music unless my snoring is very musical, which I doubt. I heard the music this morning as I was awake before 5, but for the life of me I couldn't work out where it was coming from. It was nearby but I still couldn't place it. However it may have been louder during my sleep and I missed that. I do know a young neighbour who had a very loud party some months ago when her mum was away. I know her mum is away again, so she is a suspect. But as I may have been blissfully unaware of the noise at its peak I can't be sure it was from there. However as you picked my letterbox to drop your note through I presume you must have selected the door which you thought was closest to the source. If you read this and can furnish me with more information I'll be happy to tell mum when she returns if the daughter is the offender again.
  7. I'm not saying there is. I'm just saying to Mick that overuse of medicine probably equates to cheating which he seems to disagree with.
  8. Why not try airbnb? We used it recently to find a place not too far from London and ended up in Hampshire.
  9. Doesn't the term 'overuse of medicines' imply cheating? Why else would there be overuse?
  10. East.
  11. It seems drug cheats are usually a step ahead of the testers. I don't know which athlete it was who was recently promoted from 9th position in London or before to a medal winning position. All the others were found to have cheated. Ironically the same guy was throw out of Rio for drug cheating.
  12. Watching a bit of Soccer Saturday one of the pundits was asked if Liverpool could keep it up. His reply was that he didn't know but last season those teams who played the 'pressing' game (Liverpool & Spurs) ran out of steam in the later stages. Not being in Europe has got to help Liverpool in the league.
  13. Another impressive result for Liverpool. Apart from losing at Burnley they're looking like contenders moreso than all bar City.
  14. Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Indeed. Brilliant innit. You're getting the hang of the local dialect Mick. Well done. I just can't bring myself around to say it yet.
  15. Red top and WHITE bread? Is the first compensating for the second?
  16. You call that a drink RPC? I don't think I'd want to move to the village.
  17. Now if you'd just written gobshite I'd have understood. Must look up florid. @ RPC I really liked Gilbert O Sullivan too. Don't remember Mikado. Thought it was a biscuit. I liked Nothing Rhymed a lot.

Excuse my ignorance but where did you learn the word persiflage from and how often do you use it? I?ve never heard of it which is no great surprise as I communicate by re-arranging the (about) 25 words I do know. I?ve looked it up though as I'm keen to be educated, though I suspect I won?t be saying ?persiflage? very often.
  19. I see Joey has got himself in trouble over in the blue half of Glasgow...... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37378180
  20. Directors/owners who employ their 20 something kids and give them ?40k salaries which couldn't be justified for anyone else in their roles.
  21. Do M&S do any veggie meals? The cook has gone away for two weeks and I may run out of food.
  22. I got a nice letter from a man who told be about an inheritance I'm entitled to. Just waiting for the funds to be transferred to my bank.

  24. With a big enough squad it's a good way of giving everyone a game. If they're good enough. Just heard Torino lost due to a Joe Hart error.
  25. I'd like to hear Ms Brady's take on it.
