  1. It's October. It's got to be the ISB......

    X App

I don't really care what the feckers know about me, as according to two phone calls I received in the last week, HMRC have issued a warrant for my arrest and I'll soon be behind bars.

    Air fryer

Judging by the comments I have read about them in various places, it would seem most people are just interested in making chips. Certainly not a good reason to buy one.
  4. I've lived here for 30+ years and there was never a Woolworth's that I can recall. How many years ago are you talking about?

    PC Repair

Mine did that recently and the hard drive had failed 😭 Try Christian at Netquest Consulting in Pellatt Road: http://www.netquest-consulting.com/ Is he well to do though?
  6. I've was given an hourly rate Sue, and told the job should be done within the hour. By cross examining I mean asking what the price would be in different scenarios. It takes an hour and 5 minutes or a power cut mid job. That type of thing.
  7. If you are quoted a price per hour, and a job is finished in less than an hour, would you expect to pay the relevant proportion of that rate or pay for an hour? And, what if a job takes say 1.25 hours? Would you pay the rate x 1.25 or pay for 2 hours? This is with the assumption you haven't been told there is a minimum charge. I don't like cross examining someone, particularly if I'm hoping to get them to do a job for me.
  8. Thanks both the replies. I've checked out the virtual sim (which I'd never heard of before), but it seems my OH's phone doesn't meet the criteria. It's probably too old in other words. The Telstra option sounds good as she will predominately be staying in a very rural spot in Queensland. Just need to find a 2nd phone here to avoid the messing around. Thanks again.
  9. Can anyone recommend a SIM for use in Australia? My OH is going there for a couple of weeks and our current mobile provided charges a lot for data, calls etc when abroad. I see there are prepaid data only cards available which I'm guessing would allow calls to be made via WhatsApp. It would be good to get input from anyone who knows what works well though. Thanks in advance.
  10. Details for the new season are now on the old thread Fox.
  11. I'm in Red. You may see elsewhere that maxxi has set up a new Fantasy league.
  12. I'm sure it can be run but there hasn't been any sign of DR/RD for a while. Give it a bit more time.
  13. I'm in. I'm not joining Div 2 am I maxxi?
  14. I'd be in if there's enough interest. From what I read in the Help section it requires the original Admin of a league to renew it each season. Nothing to stop a new one being created though............now where's DR/RD disappeared to?
  15. I think your Fantasy Football comments got lost in the transfer window RD. Is the EDF Fantasy Football league lost forever? Any participants who are actually on the Forum maybe say so, and maybe it could be revived.
  16. Nowadays 'ol moneybags is really just a series of unanswered questions.
  17. Saying England won a World War is a bit like saying Nobby Stiles won the World Cup.
  18. Johnson was supposedly on the train to Doncaster yesterday. Or at least that's what those waiting for him were supposedly told. I think he went Ukraine to negotiate something which will please everyone, including those currently miffed by his non appearance. On Monday (it is the week-end after all, drinksies at Chequers and all that)he will announce that he has negotiated with the President that next year if Ukraine aren't able to do it, the UK will host Eurovision 2023 in Doncaster. It's a win win for him.
  19. I thought United losing Pogba for free was better than that!

  21. Are you sure No Flies = No Lies, dr? My first thought was that it must relate to the expression 'There's no flies on me/him/her'. Often used within my family.
  22. "It talks about one lady who is quoted as saying "I was looking for a dress for a friend's wedding so I naturally ordered lots of options to try on," and then goes on to saying she returned 7 items. Perfectly reasonable you might say, but then let's look from the companies point" I don't think this perfectly reasonable at all. Perfectly stupid. From the retailer for the reasons you outlined but what customer would want to return 7 out of 8 items and the hassle that brings? Your back to the High Street solution makes sense.
  23. Speaking for no one but myself, I tend to think humans can spoil a good photograph. I know I can.
  24. Why is a greasy spoon called a greasy spoon? Surely a greasy knife and fork is more appropriate?
