  1. Here you are .. http://www.auntyanimal.me.uk/MyLittlePonySparkle.jpg Small and sparkley
  2. Absolutely, we dont all pay the same council tax, ED property is worth more and so we pay more. There is no point in opening pointless shops when there is no demand for their goods. The Nuns Head does a great Sunday lunch which attracts us EDers. Perhaps if the denizens of Nunhead were to lay on some traditional entertainment on the Nunhead village green we might throw a few pennies their way. Witch burning, crone ducking, that sort of thing. Its the private sector that regenerates areas, standing there with your hands out waiting for Soutwark grant aid is all a bit Oliver Twist.
  3. .... or bunch of scruffy (and evidently unsuccessfull) shops surrounding a balding "green" with a pub regenerated by the money of ED residents. Thats about it.
  4. I'm there ....
  5. Its a huge building, they could fit in a Burger King AND a KFC. A sort of boutique fast food emporium. A much better use of under utilised space.
  6. An expansion of the Cemetary?
  7. "Closement" - the achievement of closure.
  8. 80p and a whole thread down. Did you do a change recount and discover an error?
  9. "Ita" is a typo, bless her, much like Dekkert is a replicant but doesnt know it. The presents are for ME - gerroff.
  10. Nunhead has long been known for the practice of parents eating their own children in times of economic need. Given the down turn in the retail sector in Nunhead we could see smaller class sizes in that area in the not too distant future.
  11. Its about time............http://www.iona.com/blogs/newcomer/archives/Tree0006.JPG Dont let the doggie pee up it DM.
  12. Its because Mum's Love to Shop in Iceland - which is in East Dulwich. Anyway, Nunhead is full of dead people, as a very few august members of this Forum evidence on a regular basis.
  13. Getting to know lots of great people on the Forum - and making some good friends on the way. Bizzarely being diagnosed with diabetes - at least now I know why I felt like shite and I now have a proper reason to eat sensibly, drink sensibly, get fitter and lose weight - 1 stone in 2 months and still going. Its amazing how galvanising consequences can be!
  14. I think that Dwayne Pipe had alot of friends because one of my colleagues went to school with him. Apparently "Pipe" was not his original surname, but his mother remarried Mr Pipe and the rest is history.
  15. should be doing various bits of work, but its Christmas and I cant be arsed
  16. So that they dont bump into all of the OTHER UFOs in the night sky, there being so many of them and they do not seem to take any notice of air traffic control.
  17. Essentially, its Essentially
  18. I lived next to the estate for many years and never experienced any problems and I too used to walk through the estate every working day. The buildings seem well built and it is sooo handy for Sainsbos, transport and the Lane.
  19. Its in the diary. Pay day for me too.
  20. I know Mark and can confirm that he is perfect.
  21. DONT SEND GOAT VOUCHERS!! The buggers eat everything in sight and completely bugger up the environment. I spent a goodly proportion of last year yomping round the developing world doing some work for DFID, the general opinion was - anything but goats. Except perhaps elephants. Generic capacity building low technology and micro finance projects are less cute but are a better bet.
  22. There was a re-dubbed version of The Flashing Blade that was shown on one of the Saturday morning kids shows. It was very camp and very funny.
  23. The Singing Ringing Tree was shown on the BBC during the summer holidays in 60s and 70s, its East German. Other summer holiday classics were Belle and Sebastian The Flashing Blade White Horses Robinson Crusoe They were all pretty cheesy and designed to force us kids out of the house to play in the great outdoors.
  24. Well, perhaps that they are not the correct size suggests that it is a random event rather someone who is specifically focused on you.
  25. *Now I find myself with "On the Good Ship Lollypop" running through my mind - its a little much on a Sunday morning* *Anyway, why arent you in church with the children, begging the good Lord for forgiveness for your sinful and avaricious ways?* *Adjusts cilice around thigh rejoices in horse hair boxer shorts* *Starts wafting incence around the Quiet Room*
