It takes minutes and no cream! 1 large Avocado 1 bunch of coriander 2 garlic cloves 1 de-seeded tomato - chopped Juice of half a lime Put in food processor and blitz. Thats 3 recipes in one night. I need to lie down.
Mr G, you have a lovely lady that is so saintly that she enjoys your company even in a muddy field for days on end with no showers and naught but chemical privvies. Anyway, Did I mention the sparkling blue eyes, GSOH and can sew my own buttons back on?
... and low fat doesnt taste as nice. How many calories in guacamole? Made a load on Sunday. Scoffed it with chums. Avocado, coriander, tomato, garlic, lime juice, lard Perhaps I lied about the lard.
*I do indeed like the Amaretti biscuits* *Try them crushed, scattered over vanilla ice cream with a smidge of Amaretto poured over in turn* *Two recipes in one night - I am exhausted*
Ingredients: 1 pound of fruit 1 pound of sugar 1 pint of gin Or other quantities in proportion. Prick the fruit (or freeze and defrost to break the cells down). Place in a large jar (must have a lid). Pour on sugar and gin. Shake well to disolve the sugar. Place in a cool place for several weeks. Shake the jar every week. After a few months or so strain out the fruit (best to use a tea towel in a sieve), do this over-night to maximise the fruit flavour. Decant the liquer. If you wish you can push the fruit mush though a sieve to make a puree. Store in an air tight jar - lovely with ice cream.
I use the ED service regularly and concur with the observations that: - The trains have got better and longer with less crowding - The rush hour times are a joke - South East London commuters are treated like sh*t - it is always jam tomorrow There is a rationale in reducing trains into Victoria and indeed London Bridge and replacing them with services that take people to the East or West of the centre. This approach feeds people into the network waway from the major nodes which are currently creaking. Many commuters that go through Victoria or London Bridge are actually heading for east central and west central destinations; the idea is that they can do this without going through the centre.
I'm a plane geek and love the things, noise and all. Who else remembers the heady days of Concorde? It used to blast over every evening at about 7ish. Loud as a very loud-thing - but GOD it was beautiful.
I have just re-read my first post on this thread: "You cannot generalise about the Canaries. Tenerife and Gran Canaria are over-developed" LOL! What a pillock.
One for the Oldies - went to the "Six of the Best" concert at Milton Keynes Bowl (1981?). It was the last time that Peter Gabriel and Genesis played together. Very wet and muddy - my jeans were dyed pink from the mud and stayed that way for many long years. I also went to see Tina Turner at the rather small Brighton Top Rank Suite (early '80s) this was before her Private Dancer album which re-launched her. Fantastic. A few years later a friend had a spare ticket to see Tina at the Brighton Centre (big venue). I said "No" not wishing to sully the Top Rak Suite memory. The next day I asked her how the gig was "Great" she said "Especially as David Bowie walked on for the encores and did about half an hour of duets" Bum.
You cannot generalise about the Canaries. Tenerife and Gran Canaria are over-developed. Lanzarote is nice. Its not been spoiled and has some very impressive geological things to look at (old and new vulcanicity at either end of the island). Fuertaventura is possitively under-developed and barren in a magnificent sort of way.
