    Its a cheap, local cinema. If you know that they are a bit unreliable, phone them and check. If you want a posher experience, go to the Ritzy or the West End. They charge ?4.99. Bloody hell, stop whingeing.

    Great evening with 9 of us enjoying a few drinks at the Montpelier and an excellent meal at Ganapati. As we know, the food is somewhat different from your normal curry house and was very enjoyable for that. Next CC meet on 3 October at the Dulwich Tandoori. Meet at The Draft House at 7ish on to the restaurant for 8ish.

    As I remember at that time Lordship Lane was on its arse anyway. The DKH Sainsbos replaced the one that is now the cinema in Peckham, so no substantial additional competition. I lived up that end at the time. It prompted the minimarket immediately to the north of ED Station bridge to tart itself up and make an effort. That is still there ....
