  1. Woad betide you DaveR...
  2. Perhaps a better title would've been ''You know you've lived in ED too long when...''
  3. I see your point Mick, I suspect most 20 somethings who grew up in ED can't relate to a lot of the examples given. It's become a typical default EDF thread of a lot of old gits reminiscing about the 'good old days'...:)

Corbybabes at the official launch of the Labour manifesto, stating that he will stay on as leader no matter what the result...
  5. I'd second Netquest, charges seemed very reasonable...
  6. Next season is key, especially with the stadium transition. If they have another trophyless season with Wembleyitus, then the Kane's and Alli's will start looking elsewehere, regardless of contracts. I still think they need an experienced leader/talisman in the middle of the park to get them 'over the line'...

Quids, 'fess up, you wrote that didn't you?! :) Good article btw...

You've only been on here since last September! Probably a well-known multi-poster-reincarnate...
  9. If you can remember growing up in ED, you weren't really there...maaaaaan

  11. A day early as there's a Friday night game. Week 33 fixtures... Friday 5th May 2017 West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur Saturday 6th May 2017 Manchester City v Crystal Palace Bournemouth v Stoke City Burnley v West Bromwich Albion Hull City v Sunderland Leicester City v Watford Swansea City v Everton Sunday 7th May 2017 Liverpool v Southampton Arsenal v Manchester United Monday 8th May 2017 Chelsea v Middlesbrough Wednesday 10th May 2017 Southampton v Arsenal
  12. Unclegrim has a 'solution'...The sooner we clean up these foreigner inspired 'compare website' adverts the better. If it's not crytpto-homosexual Russian Meerkats, it's annoying obese Italian tenors. What we need is an indigenous folk singer, complete with Morris dancers for the big dance scene...as long as they don't look too gay...#GoHomeAndCompare.com http://racheldeblinger.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/legos1-640x250.jpg

In the very unlikely event that there will be a deal that satisfies both sides, it's therefore in both parties interests to make the other side look like the 'bad guy'. You don't need to imagine the Daily Heils headline if we come out with a bad deal, it'll all be the EU's fault. Politics by numbers...
  14. Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Yes..... > > You surely aren't comparing Car Share to Royle > Family? No, but I'd say that RF was closer to CS than NGO is in terms of humour. They both have a very northern sensibility about them...
  15. I wouldn't class Car Share as slapstick. Regardless, it wins hands down, better scripts, acting etc. Did you find the Royle Family funny Mick?...

Getting your figures wrong is nothing to do with mathematical literacy, she said it was going to cost ''about ?80m'', when in fact is was ?300m. According to the BBC, since the Tories have been in power police numbers have dropped 20,000. Labour should be ramming that point home, instead we get this amateurish performance from Abbott...
  17. Well that was a good week to get a rubbish score, although Quids is reining in the leading pack fast. Week 32 points... Week 32 table...
  18. Not sure why the uncertainty, TV showed an aerial view of the new and old grounds, and it doesn't look like the new stadium can be finished without first knocking down WHL. Anyways, a very dominant performance by Spurs. Too soon to say if there's a power shift in North London, but Spurs definitely have the better team right now, both on and off the pitch. Another disappointing home draw for us, think we should just concentrate on the EL and forget about top 4...
  19. I see your last game at The Lane is against us, as was the Hammer's. How come there hasn't been much publicity about this being the last season there? Last season it was Boleyn this, Upton Park that. Or was that all part of The Branding?...
  20. It's classic 'repeat a mantra often enough and people will eventually believe it' tactics. The Tory MP for the Isle of Wight who's just stepped down after making some anti-gay comments even included it in his resignation statement... "In the forthcoming election I will be supporting the Conservative candidate to ensure the strong and stable leadership of Theresa May is returned to Downing Street."
