Isn't ''We are all sinners'' one of the basic tenets of the Christian belief, as is repenting your sins, being forgiven etc? The problem with this issue is that being gay isn't like, say, committing a crime. With that you get a fine/custodial sentence, say you're sorry and it needn't happen again. Whereas a person can't just stop being gay, it's who they are sexually. Some of the church has seeked a compromise on this by saying it's ok to be gay as long as you don't have sex. Yeah right...

They'd have to be very careful on that one, what with May being a vicar's daughter and having her own Christian beliefs, albeit non-evangelical. Besides, I think the Tory dirty tricks dept have enough ammo from Corbyn and Abbot to keep them busy...

But that aside, I agree they did a good job overall during a difficult period for the country...

Yeah, shame she didn't call the election before triggering A50 though, fucker My initial take when I heard the news was that May knows there will be a Hard Brexit regardless of whether there is a small or large Tory majority, but this will at least give the Tory party two extra years in power post-Brexit, and therefore a better chance of winning the next election. > As it happens I will be voting SDP (again) as a > big vote for them will send a message and soften > Brexit and double bonus in ED that's a vote > against Labour Me too. Always voted Labour, and as Hayes stood up to Corbyn by voting against the A50 bill, I would've liked to vote for her just on that principle, but it will be seen as a vote for Corbyn, and I'm not doing that :)...

The BBC is saying two-thirds is needed...
  6. Week 30 points... Week 30 table...
  7. It's still Chelsea's to lose, and they have the easier run-in too. If you beat them in the semi's that could really affect their confidence though. I've watched Spurs' last two home games on the box and they have been playing like champions. As we can't win the league the next best thing as a Utd fan as the table stands is for Spurs to win the league, so I will be hoping they can, as long it's not the Double though. I'd have to stop coming onto the EDF if that happened. Watching how Rashford and Lingard linked up so well yesterday, reminded me of Kane and Alli, bodes well for England too. Zlatan has been amazing this season considering his age, but the team has to play around him, to his strengths, and that has slowed us down and we've become too static once we get to the opposition's box. Hopefully Mourinho has now seen the future and how good Rashford can be, and he'll get more game time next season...
  8. Let them go Burbage, let them go...
  9. Happy Easter Spurs fans. Lots of love, MUFC...
  10. Never has one generation (buy-to-let landlords) been more successful in stitching up another (today?s millennials). The ban on letting fees can?t come soon enough. This case was about the letting agent taking the proverbial, not the landlord...
  11. Me too. Bastards...
  12. I can't believe he was still being employed by that rag after the truth about Hillsborough came out. Just goes to show any attempt at an apology to the victim's families meant diddly squat...
  13. I'd seen Utd win FA Cups pre-Fergie (Liverpool, Brighton, Everton) but never the league. Utd's first trophy under Fergie was also the FA Cup in '90 v Palace. That led to the ECWC in '91 and then we won the League Cup in '92, before finally winning the league in '93. I didn't have to Google any of that ;-)...
  14. A day early as it's Easter and some of you might be away tomorrow. See how thoughtful I am ;-) Week 30 fixtures... Saturday 15th April 2017 Tottenham Hotspur v Bournemouth Crystal Palace v Leicester City Everton v Burnley Stoke City v Hull City Sunderland v West Ham United Watford v Swansea City Southampton v Manchester City Sunday 16th April 2017 West Bromwich Albion v Liverpool Manchester United v Chelsea Monday 17th April 2017 Middlesbrough v Arsenal
  15. Try 'butterfly' cavity wall rawl plugs, B&Q sell them, expect Dulwich DIY will too. I've used them in the past for those Ikea floating shelves that always sag with conventional plasterboard rawl plugs... http://www.diy.com/departments/rawlplug-cavity-fixing-pack-of-6/254620_BQ.prd?ecamp=Seapla&ppc_type=shopping&ds_kids=92700017269565308&gclid=CMbLiPmiodMCFdZAGwodhLkCtg&gclsrc=aw.ds.ds&dclid=CKSfqfmiodMCFQ0j0wodNloI0Q
  16. A house has planning Permitted Development rights, if you stay within these rights the council can't refuse your proposals. For a loft conversion in a terraced house a maximum of 40 cubic metres is allowed. There are other constraints, here is the technical guidance, lofts come under Class B, which begins on page 34...https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/606669/170405_Householder_Technical_Guidance__-April_2017_FINAL.pdf
  17. Barca thumped again, can't see Juve doing a PSG and losing such a big lead with no away goals against them...
  18. As it's in the kitchen area how about a wine bottle display rack, maybe just for your reds to keep them at room temp...
  19. I'm not old enough to have remembered Spurs win the league...:)
  20. FFS. What are you going to be like if Spurs actually win something?...
  21. Yep, we both said that Quids had been getting far more correct scores than normal and eventually it will balance out. I think the key is to aim to minimise incorrect results, and Jah has consistently been the lowest in that respect all season, so it was only a matter of time before the bit of luck you need for correct scores started going his way. Or is this all mind games?... :)

I never expected to see us win the league once, let alone all what we subsequently did. If we never win anything again in my lifetime I'll die a very happy fan...
  23. One important stat missing Titch, he's won fook all... ETA: 7600..:)

Yep, Megaflo has become the default term for this type of system, when it is in fact a brand name. A bit like Hoover did for vacuum cleaners. I still refer to the Dyson as the hoover...:)
