I've only just > started it but I can feel it dragging me in. It's good. I read that first and then read his Shardlake novels, none of which are as good as Winter in Madrid.
  2. I completely disagree, I've really enjoyd this series. Especially the last two episodes with the NZ Prime Minister. Murray is the best thing in it by far.

  4. I must have dreamed about Liverpool winning 4-1 there back in March then. Gonna get me one of these for next season: http://www.nufc.com/2009-10images/200910away-m.jpg mmmmmmmm, bananas.
  5. Championship footy is apprently on the BBC next season. Anyone know if this is in the form of live games or just highlights?
  6. As a long-suffering Newcastle fan I'm actually really looking forward to next season. Being in such a competitive league will make a pleasant change from the tedious procession that the Premier League has become.
  7. Had a BBC the other week - very poor. Back to Spice Republic next time.

  9. I hear they're giving formatting lessons over in Green and Blue

  11. It's bright pink! I can't wait to see all those letchy white-van blokes sitting outside that of a morning!
  12. The sign outside says it's closed for a week for refurb. I'm guessing this may mean it will still be the same old Cafe Mis but with a Pizza oven installed, like what Petit Chou did.
  13. Wild at Heart, NIcholas Cage has fallen so low since that one.
  14. They're quite shy about mentioning that old Forum award they got back in the day.
  15. Moonlight Mile - Stones (side B of Sticky Fingers is ace all-round)
  16. BigPhil Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > is embrace the song or the band.... im guessing > you mean the song "more than words"? The band, and every miserable song they ever produced, such as "come back to what you know". More than words was someone else shite.
  17. Embrace. The singer's voice makes my blood boil, as does that of the fella from Kaiser Chiefs. Both completely flat. Stop it, please.
  18. Yes, wiki mentioned that it was originally Calypso. I've not heard those early versions. Fantastic lyrics, still make me chuckle.

I had a compiliation tape called Liquidator in the early 90's with much of those on it. Do you know who recorded "Shame and Scandal in the family"? I have it in my mind that it was Pete Tosh. Am I right?
  20. I imagine the victims of those recent muggings will be receiving similar letters...

I accused them of coming round practically every week, he seemed incredulous at the suggestion and was still arguing even after I'd closed the door. How about everyone starts to give them the same reason for not buying their wares? Wittiest suggestion wins a pack of 3 dusters.
