  1. I do feel sorry for the straight, decent, honest MP's who are being tarnished by the bent, greedy, normal MP's that we so frequently find cropping up in the Telegraph.
  2. The thoughts are now to leave food out all year round I heard it on radio 4 so it must be right then.
  3. dbboy wrote:- How about Brown, HRH and 635 MP's all going at the same time, now that'll save a few quid to say the least and help the country no end. According to the law of averages they cannot all be wrong 'uns, but those who have 'milked the system' should be punished by the judiciary the same as any other wrong doer. Giving the money back is not in my opinion punishment. Everyone else would be dealt with by the law, why should shadey people of any kind, whether politicians or not, be exempt?
  4. I would also reduce the amount of MP's as Marmora Man suggests, but for every two that went they would be replaced by just one. Halving at a stroke the amount of potential snouts.
  5. To answer SeanMG's post, I would suggest all prosecutions be issued for the one's who have over indulged. So my answer would be 500 should go to ensure a clean house. Or perhaps just divert the river Thames through it.
  6. No point in shooting the postman, who would look after Jess?
  7. Home A family of long tailed tits feeding in the garden, runner beans climbing up the canes, a plum tree smothered in plums, birds nesting in my garden always makes me feel like I'm honoured, unexpected visit or phone call from a long lost friend, Work Unexpected large order because of swine flue, large payment dropping into my bank account, ordered goods with long lead time arriving early, Play In a club and pulling, making the company laugh out loud from a wicked remark, Random an act of kindness, someone who truly loves you looking out for you,
  8. I wonder how many MP's will be removed from post, before the great British public feel they have a 'clean house' again? Five? Fifty? Five hundred?
  9. Well why aren't they adhering to the laws of the land like the rest of society has to. This is what we can expect from our 'great and good' when they are allowed to produce their own personal 'book of rules'?

    MPs' expenses

Perhaps future candidates can be tested on their ability to defraud, and timed when filling in expenses forms.
  11. I wonder if anyone is feeling low enough to 'run' as an MP, or will you have to roll in the dirt before you feel you have reached the correct level?
  12. Brendan wrote:- I can't see how wasting one's money on prostitutes will help. I have never ever wasted money on prostitutes, I always found it money well spent:)
  13. I would arrange a flat that you would benefit moving into, when that was established then tell your landlord (with hearty exuberence) that you are moving, because you have found flat 'X' which is cheaper by x pounds and more convenient. He might match it, if he does you might get brave and try to knock off an extra 10% for the convenience, space, etc. Best of luck.
  14. I did not mention Kings at all PeckhamRose. I mentioned something I have observed for many years, the erosion of the NHS. I did not intend a negative post, I only speak as I find.
  15. Hardly safe hands, 10 years from now there will be little to recognise of the remaining NHS. We have all watched it erode over the last 20 years and observed the rise and rise of the private sector. I have paid in to this club for 48 years and as one needs grow with age in this direction, it appears barely fit for purpose inspite of the input of many dedicated staff.
  16. HellNoHellYeah we need phone numbers to believe that statement. My kind of women:) Practical resourceful and available!
  17. Yes H B that is all very well but flowery really got up Ted's nose, which is fun:))

The apprentices I worked with could handle a kit of tools. I suspect the only tool he has worthy of mention, is a sharp tongue.
  19. and she wrestles you to the ground, kisses you full on the mouth, with tongue, she is coarse, ugly, and has halitoses. Then you carry on with what is surely the beginning of a perfect day.
  20. jimmy two times what exactly is your beef? You only want people to discuss the daisies, or offer day to day happenings?
  21. Perhaps Peckhamgatecrasher the word 'sensible' is of course totally unacceptable and must be changed, perhaps you would suggest something more befitting...... I will insert your new selection into the earlier passage soonest. Ted Max perhaps you too would prefer to change flowery into something less offensive?
  22. "Current shower" does this mean you no longer belong to a party david? If that is the case you may wish to represent ED forum party,.....er, provided you get the votes.
  23. wee quinnie it shows your humanity, good for you. I saw that Jim Davidson recently and he actually made me laugh which is a surprise as I do not consider him to be anything special. Davidson "there is a lot of poor people, and we should consider all the poor people in the world" ...................pause........................ "F*ck em"!
  24. 25. I long to hear "go to cashier number twelve please" rather than wait half an hour.
