  1. I cannot imagine a revolution over that magazine, it's not even fit for loo paper, load of sh!te.
  2. Brendan wrote:- Considering the epic debates about the social benefits of the libertarian right and socialist left between folks like Mamora Man and Huguenot this is a bit like a scrap in a sandpit innit. tomdhu and Snorky, two bald men fighting over a comb:))
  3. They dont do the typical greasey spoon fare, calling it a cafe distorts the nature of the beast. What other 'cafe' does swedish meatballs. The first time I went in I mentioned the forum and the lady said 'Oh what have they said about us this time' I quickly pointed out that EDF people thought highly of Jacks, which was why I had gone in there, it made her smile.
  4. I have never understood why these publications drop through my door, knowing the costliness of these magazines. Can we opt out of this scheme? Southwark could divert the money to something useful or more important.
  5. It sounds as if an extra pint of water per day may help the gout sufferers with dark urine.
  6. I remember one of the guys we employed going to an Irish festival in Edgeware Rd many years ago, there were estimated to be two hundred thousand visitors and just one policeman, he was a bit drunk mind, but he had a great time.
  7. It sounds more like the behaviour of a sparrow hawk to me Sue
  8. According to my rail map, Thameslink to London bridge, (the one that goes to East Croydon and beyond). and change at London bridge onto the East Dulwich line.

    Sometimes a bird...............perhaps a dotterel?
  10. Dont drink the water, and only eat freshly cooked food. Take insurance which covers you for bandit attacks if at all possible. The Danish football team, having whupped Uruguay 6-1 when Uruguay were top of the South American league, were brought to their knees by swimming in the hotel pool and eating the local food, they had all the food flown in from Denmark from then on, but the damage was done weakened by Montezuma's revenge.
  11. Wolfie's a big strong lad, he runs up all his own frocks.
  12. Southwark Mole wrote:- short stay refuge for thier vulnerable residents or asylum seekers I thought they already had one in the church at the top of Barry Rd?
  13. A few lessons with the golf pro' at dulwich golf course. Gym membership for a month or three. Paint balling for a day or week-end.
  14. He played opposite Steve McQueen in 'Nevada Smith' too. 97 is a good age for any man, but in that game especially so.

Good for you giggley, opening my eyes to which the most efficient charity is, as opposed to Oxfam where 19 shillings in every pound goes on advertising or 11 pence in every shilling I forget which exactly.
  16. Jeremy wrote:- I wish to "get a rewind" and go back to Annasfield's post. What is that guy standing on? Is that a kind of canoe, which converts into a stationary "mini-island"? If you are fishing a lake you cannot 'cast' far enough to reach the fish, if you use a coventional canoe it is too unstable to cast. That photograph shows that you can paddle out near the fish and then open the device to a triangle and cast to where the fish are active this gives the stability for the angler to stand up and cast.
  17. I too think Jacks is worth giving a go before most other cafes in the area.
  18. It does not matter where it's written up provided you understand the forum policy.
  19. PGC was it in the White Horse Peckham? They have a thing about cricket coverage............I read somewhere;-)
  20. No I am not the moderator. You are sticking the boot into a forum which has the good grace to allow you your say. You have stated in earlier posts you will never again post on this unsuitable forum. Why are you intent on badgering people on this site when it is obviously not good enough for your high standards? Some of us believe it to be an invaluable asset to this area. If you find it demeaning to use this "weak" forum, go find a strong one and use it, whilst we continue to function on here and enjoy wallowing in all our weaknesses.
  21. jollybaby wrote:- I said to my friend 'look at the cat having a sleep in the gutter' Wasn't a cat then, it was a kipper!
  22. Come back and show us when you have done one thats better.
  23. I hope it was one of the four or five which crap in my garden(6) Although I would not wish it dead, I just dont want what they leave behind.
  24. PGC wrote:- Quite a few previously unseen roustabouts on the common. I didn't know they were an endangered species. Roughnecks are also a common enough breed around this neck of the woods too.;-)
  25. I have been a couple of times when it was closed, and it rather puts people off from trying if it might be closed. Although business in general is slow, continuity is vital for regular custom.
