BTW, the bottom of the Gardens that back onto each other along form tyhe Wildlife centre to Goose green school - oglander road ? - are a quagmire after heavy wather, due to the rise in the level of water along the stream path. During WW2, many people boult anterson shelters in this are - as far away from their house as possible - only to find the shelters several inches or feet deep in ground water -

I think you had better speak to John Beasley about that....... but if you have any of the the Blashford-Snell about you, then Im sure you could shin over a few back garden fences and map the likely course of the hidden stream with a GPS system and a OS map.Look for the slumping buildings and you cant go too far wrong -

Cuth. There is indeed a plan to demolish and rebuild of late coincidentally . Its been bad for a long time and is irreparable - even the floorboards have been removed to stop anyone getting in and getting into trouble. Now then, the problem is not with the building, but with the underground stream that runs under it , through the wildlife centre and across the abck of the gardens to Grove vale - this is why the streets here have such long gardens on a back to back basis. If you stand with your back to the crumbling house, and look directly across the road, but slightly left, you can see further a crumbling and misshapen house that has been jazzed up somewhat, but is a sick puppy. This is the original line of the stream I would suggest that any development on the site om the crumbling houise should be on a floating concrete platform,. othwerwise it too will begin to twist on its axis with the changes in ground water levels and content each season. -

Actually, cosnsidering my curent beef wiv Lidl ( see Lidle parking charges in general ) , I may just walk to Somerfield instead. -
BUT If you desire the use the new / clean/ fantastic Peckham pulse pool , then be very careful. Combine your swimming trip with a delightful bit of people watching in the splendour of Peckham Lidl or its scrumptious shite plastic goods emporium chum Pundstretcher and you may find yourself "fined" for using their parking facilities. They have started issueing "fines" for anyone overstaying the normal 1.5 hours of whatever in the scruffy Lidl prapark behind Burger King . ?45 as well. They get the Cars detials from the DVLA . now im looking into this, but it looks like a parking fine, it seem to read like a parking fine and it is a demand for money like a parking fine, but it is in effect an invoice for "breach of civil contract" - as its got nothing to do with the normal RTA / Local authorities parking policy. It will contain mealy mouthed threats of court actions etc, but Im pretty sure its a big bluff due to the fact its a threat to sue rather than an criminal offence....... Lidl/?stretcher etc want no part of this and wont have any discussion apart from refering you back to this "company" Im working on this as a little side project to see how far they will go with their threats, but has anyone else experienced this type of scam and iof so, what did you do ?

I'd love to come along, but Im hell bent on destroying the evil of capitalism that day.And have to pop into to Lidl as well. -
Funniest thing is ED ? Go to LL and check out the nick nack shops and takle a close look at the prices on their utterly useless goods Its hilarious, utterly side splitting. I laugh even now as I think back to last weeks visit. They look like shops, but sell nothing of any use to anyone on this earth. Its obviously some kind of Guerilla art happening to warn us of the excesses of rampant consumerism. they arent real shops, they cant be. It must be a joke.

Snorky isnt/ wasnt a visitor to the aforementioned basement flat...but he knows all Apparently it is now closed - its comings and goings provided much asmusement to the regulars in franklins by all accounts and its location was well known - the Local constab. were also " aware" of the location and MAY have been vistors, hence the relative longetivity of the establishment, despite its notoriety

Unlike many estates in Sarf London, I would suspect you would not have a problem walking through it most nights. My earlier comments regarding "GV15" or whatever the ex public toilets are called is that I would gag at paying the thick end of half a mill for a boxy flat overlooking a gothic council estate and railway lines. I even considered buying a 2 bedder in the MuFu estate at one point, as it was cheap and I knew I could get victims to fill it wiothout any hassle, but the only downer was the question of maintainence - the Council were planning big works on the estate and the thought of an unexpected bill dropping on the mat for several thousand quid scared the bejesus out me and put paid to any capitalist desires I may have had. Its not the place for City Boys with flash cars and sleek girlfriends and the noise can be a bit annoying in the summer, but There is an awful lot worse within a few miles........
