my car has a lot of bollard related scratches on it where they pounced out when I was going round corners.

I love Bellenden Road, I love the new shops and I loved the old shops. There was a junk shop where the hairdressers is 14 years ago, so having a couple more is following tradition. When I first started visiting ED as a comedian regularly booked at the old East Dulwich Tavern twenty years ago, I would park my car up the little road opposite the pub and obsessively peek out the dressing room window to make sure it hadn't been nicked. I thought East Dulwich grubby and terrifying! The comedy crowd who ran the nights at the EDT all lived round here and reassured me it was a great place to live, so we bought our house eventually here- but the SE15 side which was seen as no different.

do you take him to puppy classes or try training classes? That would introduce him to a structure for his brain. Training isnt about getting him to do what you want so much as giving you both a common language you can communicate with to eachother. Please avoid quick fix/later disaster Cesar Milan type training, all that power rolling will end in more harm than good. Be very careful who you get in to help you with your dog. The object is to teach, not test. I found the following a brilliant website for proper support and advise- http://www.dogsey.com/forumdisplay.php?f=17&order=desc someone is currently discussing beagle training on that very forum.

Incident at Sainsburys cash machines
Huggers replied to Jimmyv's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
you could distract just by saying 'I think you've dropped your mobile'- wouldnt we all look down for a second then? -
lets hope the foxes all die of obesity. But seriously, the idea that this is a cover up is wishful thinking. People accused the parents of the twins who were mawled by a fox a couple of years ago of covering up for a terrier. They didnt have a terrier and scientists proved it was a fox attack. The fox isn't making a moral judgement about his prey- a baby is just a very large guinea pig without the inconvenience of fur and mobility.

Just want to say what a brilliant service I received from Chadwick Road surgery audiology this morning and what a lovely surgery it seems to be in general- spacious, light, ordered, friendly and appointment on time! No crowded waiting room either which made me think they are extremely well organised.
-
Yes that is where I am going, I rang Kings who put me through to the company now responsible for audiology in the community who will have my notes from Mapother House and who made me an appointment and Ive got one tomorrow morning. How's that for swiftness of action? Last time I lost a hearing aid I had to go right through the system again from a gp referral- only because I never needed to go back for yonks- so this is brilliant.
-
thanks! now sorted.
-
Audiology used to be based at Kings but then became localised. I have a hearing aid to back up my muffled hearing, proscribed by the NHS ages ago. It's now cracked and I need a new inner tube. I have googled audiology, hearing, kings, southwark- all to no avail! I know one of the GP's centres does audiology outpatients and hearing services..but which one?!

husband has just told me that Lidl pay highest graduate entry starting salary of any company in Britain. So maybe all the jolly new staff are diverted barristers.
-
Maybe Lidl staff have become jollier and more helpful now they are constantly exposed to the delicious smells of the instore bakery. . Their freshly baked croissants are 29 pence a pop, (if you hang around they will pull out a fresh batch from the oven) their ?39 single malt whisky sold out in hours just before Christmas after being voted one of the top whiskies worth ?100 by the whisky experts as Lidl had a deal with an obscure Islay distillery - bottles appeared on Ebay shortly afterwards. Lidl are brilliant for cheese, juice, fruit, baked stuff and those continental chocolate biscuits that are nearly two quid under a different label. This week they are doing horse blankets. I bought a fire extinguisher.Currently got little coloured vests exactly the same as the white stuff twenty quidders at ?2.99. I love Lidl! While you are all aching for a Waitrose, you are missing out!

he wasnt far from home, he had walked anyway. He was on the phone, but they asked for the oyster first, then as an 'afterthought' for the phone, but he was very conversational, like 'what kind of phone have you got there?' it was daylight! didnt ask for money. probably opportunist..hence my thought about the oyster testing the water. If it didtn go his way or a passer by noticed what was going on then the perp could pretend he wasnt actually mugging him. -

I wonder if the bus pass was knicked first to slow him down on his way home and give more time before reporting it, also to test the water without too much risk? -

yes told tfl, they say if a stolen oyster is used the user gets fined. Trying to find original oyster number for police so they can link it if this happens! the other thing, my boy had a feeling about the approaching boy. I'm telling him now, act on instinct, cross the road, turn around....! follow your instincts! -

thanks all, he's fine but annoyed. The police said you just can't tell if theyre chancers or not. He could have said no and they may have walked away...or they could have punched him or worse. So although he is annoyed he is not traumatised. But it was ever so subtle. -
today at 4pm my 14 year old son was asked for his oyster card and phone which he immediately surrendered. Police informed, everythng cancelled but just to warn. He was on his phone. Robbed by older boy, tall, thin, round 17, mixed race, blue and grey cap, blue zip up, who asked which school he went to, accompanied by white girl with blonde hair, tallish, slender who melted away just before the encounter. Son ok, did sensible thing.
