Girl 82, my point was to reply to Louisa's -''Rye Lane has not one estate agent, coffee shop or > curry house (someone correct me if I'm wrong),'' That was my point.

There's a coffee shop/caff at the Southern end on the western side. There's a delicious pizza/coffee place inside the indoor market and I am not sure that's the only one in there. There's a coffee/snack bar in the covered passageway in front of the station between the dentists and the veggie stall. There may be more.

Anyone know of a good adult ballet class?
Huggers replied to WorkingMummy's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Fiona Foster does an adult ballet class 8.30 pm mondays at the Albrighton Centre, It's been going a long time and is delightful. Term time only. She also does a Grade 6 adult class at Push studios on Friday evenings...7.30 I think. -

V&A http://www.vam.ac.uk/content/articles/a/about-the-theatre-and-performance-collections/ But also how about contacting any individual theatres still in existence? They may well be interested in them for their foyers/collections. http://www.arthurlloyd.co.uk/Birmingham/TheatreRoyalNewStreetBirmingham.htm

that's beautiful El Pibe, and Jotul are a brilliant make, one of the greats...unfortunately 'not suitable for smoke-free zones' though according to the description on your link.

You would need your chimney cleaned and tested, and probably lined. If it doesnt need lining, lining is probably advised. There are loads of fitters recommended on here through CASA in Bellenden Road, or independently. I ordered my stove independently and used Dennis to fit it 07903425482. The fitting will cost you as much or more than your stove but is essential for safety and efficiency.

agree with Bob, what do you want to use it for. For occasional and picturesque use, an open fire is very nice. There are some good gas imitation ones too that can go in the fireplace cavity. We have our original fireplace in our sitting room where we occasionally have smokeless coal fires. We used to use it much more, until we installed a woodburning stove in our kitchen diner. Our wood burning stove is on a lot, all day when I am working from home and I don't use any central heating at the same time. It takes the edge off the rest of the downstairs too while keeping the back of the house toasty. Ours can take a bit of smokeless coal too, to keep it going, but wood is what it is mainly meant to burn. Then there is storage of wood- you are not going to get far on nets of logs from garages! Bulk buying is the key and you need a place in your garden to store it where it can be both aired and kept dry. So that is a consideration. I made mine out of a pallet and a brolly in the back of the garden and that does the job. . We chose an ecologically efficient heavy steel stove which heats up very quickly and burns effectively. It was quite expensive but highly recommended by friends -Clearview. But we considered closely many others, including the very popular Morso Squirrel. It looks very attractive as it sits deep inside the fireplace cavity. If you wanted to preserve an original fireplace there are smaller ones out there, or you could sit it in front of the fireplace and connect it from the back rather than the top. A really good site for helping you decide is http://www.whatstove.co.uk/ chock-full of users reviewers. We really wanted a wood burner for our needs, and I think it would have been an expensive choice if we weren't going to use it much.

I like the Gardens but had a recent hearing test at Chadwick road surgery and was very impressed by the whole set up there. Nice modern environment, pleasant reception staff, no waiting, very refreshing altogether/

Very Old Pic (Apparently it's an East Dulwich house)

the road it is in may have been widened since then. -
Littlejohn stirred the hate, made it necessary for this teacher to have to use a back exit to get in and out of school. pursued by photographers who were after a first photo. The ball started rolling with a local Manchester journalist who took a non-story and catapulted it into the news, digging up a couple of objecting parents who gave their children thoughts they probably didn't have. So I expect Littlejohn, by making what would anyway be a stressful period for the teacher into a nightmare, is partly responsible.

my car has a lot of bollard related scratches on it where they pounced out when I was going round corners.

I love Bellenden Road, I love the new shops and I loved the old shops. There was a junk shop where the hairdressers is 14 years ago, so having a couple more is following tradition. When I first started visiting ED as a comedian regularly booked at the old East Dulwich Tavern twenty years ago, I would park my car up the little road opposite the pub and obsessively peek out the dressing room window to make sure it hadn't been nicked. I thought East Dulwich grubby and terrifying! The comedy crowd who ran the nights at the EDT all lived round here and reassured me it was a great place to live, so we bought our house eventually here- but the SE15 side which was seen as no different.

do you take him to puppy classes or try training classes? That would introduce him to a structure for his brain. Training isnt about getting him to do what you want so much as giving you both a common language you can communicate with to eachother. Please avoid quick fix/later disaster Cesar Milan type training, all that power rolling will end in more harm than good. Be very careful who you get in to help you with your dog. The object is to teach, not test. I found the following a brilliant website for proper support and advise- http://www.dogsey.com/forumdisplay.php?f=17&order=desc someone is currently discussing beagle training on that very forum.

Incident at Sainsburys cash machines

you could distract just by saying 'I think you've dropped your mobile'- wouldnt we all look down for a second then? -
lets hope the foxes all die of obesity. But seriously, the idea that this is a cover up is wishful thinking. People accused the parents of the twins who were mawled by a fox a couple of years ago of covering up for a terrier. They didnt have a terrier and scientists proved it was a fox attack. The fox isn't making a moral judgement about his prey- a baby is just a very large guinea pig without the inconvenience of fur and mobility.
