  1. lets face it, nobody thinks theyre fifty till theyre seventy.
  2. yes believe these are scammers.
  3. no not the last episode, I meant 'latest' kind of last episode.
  4. I think Homeland has definitely upped the ante with the last episode, just when it was looking like it would go round in circles for no reason other than to get five series in.
  5. We have quite a friends who have lived there years and others who live just off their in Lyndhurst road and there is quite a buzzing arty proffessional community there. Also the journalist garden man who had a tiger or something in his garden I think.

    Hoopers ...

    Lewis is brilliant.
  7. I think the pond referred to is the evolving dew pond where the little river peck has re-emerged as a watery ditch. so you can walk very close to it. The tree was there before the pond so maybe its being rotted by its immersion in water.
  8. aaagh! just seen this, do you think it' s too late in the term to join now?
  9. jeremy both this incident and the other one (dog attacked my dog near goose green)featured dogs off lead in the street. If they had been on a lead a muzzle would have been neither here nor there. Dogs off lead on street=owner not paying attention or giving a f.
  10. Filmmaker you sound very low and possibly depressed. Could you possibly have suffered some post natal depression on top of everything else? Would you definitely have to be the one to leave the home? Could you discuss a trial seperation and stay with your child in the family home? Counselling could be good and as others have suggested, and Relate if you think you can salvage your relationship. Counselling would be good to help you be more confident in making decisions and seeing a way forward. Could you go to your GP and get a referral - you could go private and pay. hope that helps and good luck.
  11. dogs have plenty of off-lead time in the park, but as others have said, a cat, fox or other stimulus can make any dog forget his manners and make him a danger to himself, traffic or others. My dog does not like being 'investigated' by other canines when on-lead and if this had happened to him it would have turned into a big fight! I do find it very arrogant of people with dogs off lead on the street- they are almost always the dogs that poo without it being picked up by owners too.
  12. it's against by laws for dogs to be off lead in the street. How awful for you. I dread off-lead dogs on the street as my on-lead dog has a right to be not harrassed and would certainly not like any dog to come and 'say hello' while he himself is on the lead.
  13. Harris Boys have only got intakes up to Year 10 so far I believe, so first proper results next year.
  14. Devon street is really easy to use and the guys are very helpful with unloading. You can drive right up alongside the bit you want to dump stuff in. Easy peasy to get to by car.
  15. Daves Dairy is one of lifes treats.
  16. oK Police spoken to and will act if happens again. One of those borderline incidents where it felt nasty at the time but now the girls think they dealt with it adaquately themselves..
  17. sorry Ive removed this post till later as husband really wants us to speak to police before sharing details. Don't panic, no one hurt but unpleasant incident.
  18. which road?
  19. more than a troll attack, a rather dangerous way to start talking about our teenagers if I may say so.
  20. I'm going to a Greenwich event on sunday 29th that ends at 4.30 and a gig at the Hob in Forest Hill at 7.30. Am I being unrealistic in thinking I am going to get there on time without having a nervous breakdown? In non Olympic times this would be a 20 minute car journey. I am even thinking of parking in Telegraph Hill and bus-ing it. Is that idiotic?
  21. any idea at around what sort of time it will be coming through?
  22. my thoughts to the victim at this appalling time. Didn't a lady come on here a few weeks ago to warn thata man had put his hand over her mouth as she approached her front door but then ran off, in the same bit of east Dulwich? I wonder if the two incidents are connected? found it http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,862611,page=1
