  1. There was a film crew in Lidl car park on Thursday too!
  2. thanks I have now done that. It was a very fraught situation
  3. Thanks for all the good advice and private messages. This is a journey I would always walk but this was also a day when we ended up in A&E

Maddeningly we are walking distance but daughter was not in good state
  5. thank you Malambu. The fine is ?85 and ?50 if paid immediately. I do usually cough up and I can see they would not know my reasoning. Its just a machine reading my numberplate. It was unfortunate that I was literally dropping her off and pulled into a space and she was upset and asked me to wait. Of course if I had read the sign properly I would have given my reg to reception. But I did look at the immediate signage because I wondered if I was allowed to park and it just said who the car park belonged to. It is very annoying as I then had to pay the congestion charge to take her into ST Thomas's where she was referred for a GP appointment at 8pm- a very expensive day. As it is a free car park I wouldnt think the centre would want people to be penalised like this.
  6. I don't think my daughter was asked this, she said someone pointed her to the blood test bit and there was no other interaction.
  7. my daughter went into the reception area - it wouldnt have occurred to her. She is not a driver and was already upset. I was in the car. I would have registered it if I had seen that signage. I didn't get out of the car.Literally pulled in and then pulled out when she came back.
  8. Ive just received a fine for parking in the TJC for 14 minutes while I sat in the car. I had delivered my daughter for an emergency blood test and she asked me to wait. I read the signage and couldn't see anything about not being allowed to park there. If I had I would have parked in a residential street. Mind you I was a bit stressed and worried. My daughter as a result ended up in A&E later that evening- its OK, she was alright in the end. Can anyone clarify the rules on this? It was extremely misleading signage.
  9. I love your shed. Was it a kit or custom made?
  10. I had this for about a year and could only access the site via a Dutch server that I used specifically for the edf. No amount of help calls could change this. My wifi seemed to think the east Dulwich forum was the dark web and was blocking it.. Then a month ago it went back to normal.
  11. I had Astra yesterday morning. Bit shivery and achy in evening. Temperature over night and v congested and blocked up today.
  12. In Edinburgh they Don?t look bad. They are large municipal ones, black, discreet and pedal operated .between parked cars. At the top of lordship lane private bins block the pavement in places, specially in houses containing several flats and with not enough front space.
  13. I wonder if Southwark has ever considered implementing the Edinburgh system of bins. They have no bins allocated to individual homes but instead several very large communal ones dispersed intermittently in the street, or at the end of streets. this frees up people?s front gardens/spaces so they don?t have the hideous collection of blue, brown and green plastic crowding the front of homes and spilling onto pavements.. Easier for bin men to access. One for recycle, one for household. Positioned in non parking spaces so no more pressure on parking spaces,
  14. Aha!
  15. Now today they haven?t emptied our small brown food waste bin. The top was not completely closed. If this is the reason it is getting ridiculous. Obviously while at home we are all consuming more. We don?t even have any public bins anymore like we had in peckham rye car park to deal with extras.
  16. These meal kits ?boxes? are a huge fad in New Zealand. I?d never come across them before but when I was there I met lots of people using them several times a week, especially if they had guests. It reminded me of the seventies when the ready meal was pushed by tv advertisers as the height of culinary sophistication though in this case the client has much more input.
  17. O you got there first! It looks almost like an outside tap has been turned on,
  18. Water spouting from Dulwich Library pipes by entrance
  19. I gave them a box of celebrations t Christmas too...or maybe it was the green bin men! This was recycling bins blue overlooked today,
  20. It?s a pandemic, they were delayed by four days, we are at home so creating more waste and now if we don?t go to the recycling centre, we will be in catch up for weeks. The xtra was packed neatly by us and left on pavement for ease.
  21. Today at last the bin men came but left anything not in the bin. We had a box of bottles and they left them. How mean is that.
  22. Actually Chick the main objection was on the basis that it was commercialising church premises for loads of dosh by using the spire as a transmitter-
  23. somewhere- in the last week. Could be Nunhead cemetery, Grove Vale, Lordship Lane or Nunhead! fingers crossed as my lost tortoise brooch turned up after three months in a shop that remembered me!! shops I was in - Ayres, Beaumonts, Black Bird, Grove Vale M&S FOUND squashed under my own car!!!
  24. I went up to One Tree Hill earlier but trees and cloud! I think round the Horniman might work better.
  25. Thanks Alex, they have turned them off!
