  2. all kicked off Bellenden Road
  3. My 19"year old son did an entire unpaid trial shift at the begging bowl as a kitchen porter and never heard from them again.
  4. the pedestrian crossing? lol
  5. hi Sue its taken me a few days to realize they were not delivered as the publicity distributor contacted me about non arrival today. I clicked on Leicester post code but its possible the London one kept popping back up - it was a very annoying internet form. the printer is currently shut so has to wait till tomorrow. if I found them I could post them. they are time critical, they are advertising my Leicester Comedy show which is in two and a half weeks!! the address was York Road Leicester- did they try and deliver them to York Grove in Peckham? or to the corresponding street number in my own street? the people there say nothing arrived. but then the printers say they left them on the doorstep!! I will just have to have them redone, hopefully they will offer to pay!
  6. hello my publicity flyers have been misdelivered by the printers - they were addressed to Visual Gag Leicester but they stupidly put the billing postcode which is Bellenden area on it. how a delivery person can happily post something addressed to Leicester through a SE letterbox cos of the postcode without alarm bells ringing, God only knows. but if it was on your doorstep last week please message me
  7. Recommending the Poodle Club in Sydenham, a new comedy club. As a comedian it's brilliant to play, but so good I've been back as an audience. Like a 1930's salon with bar. If you miss the old days of small purpose built comedy and variety clubs this is the place, fridays and saturdays!
  8. We have rung emergency number on hoarding but no reply or answer phone. Hoarding fallen in Road and looks like people can access the grounds and materials, it's open to the road.
  9. Apparently the getaway car couldn't find a parking space so the robbers jogged slowly, laden with loot, all the way down north cross road.
  10. Angling - fishing as a sport means no one taking any fish home but returning them alive to the water after weighing and photographing. Anglers often know the individual wiley old carp, having caught and returned them to the water before. Taking them home and eating them is something else altogether. There should be a big sign explaining this to new anglers. its a sport not a shopping expedition. lavender27 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Siduhe Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > Lavender27, the owner of the fishery reportedly > > claims that Eastern European fisherman don't > > ?catch and release? as they are supposed to but > > take their catches home with them so the lakes > > keep running out of fish. 11. Thank you Solar I did. It was lovely and dark!
  12. Hi all, the head has got back to me and the sports lights were not turned off after an event last night. They Are hugely apologetic and will make sure staff know to turn them off after use. Thanks for your support and a good outcome, I think.
  13. Rung them and they were v apologetic and looking into it
  14. That sounds sensible suggestion.
  15. Wide awake - 3.30am St John and St Clements school playground security light is shining like some Colditz gun tower light straight into my bedroom, penetrating my curtains. Every so often they have it this bright. Maybe it's generally turned off. I will ring them in the morning but right now I feel it's light pollution, totally selfish and really annoying. Looking out the window it's lighting up the whole area around it. Is this even legal? Anyone else?
  16. Hi Sally, food banks are used by desperate families - it doesn't mean they can't manage money, just that they haven't got it!
  17. It just means no one nominated it.
  18. I've just voted formPeckham Rye but Dulwich is also a contender http://www.fieldsintrust.org/bestpark/london?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=card&utm_campaign=ukbp2017&utm_term=regional&utm_content=171028_istock

  20. Nutbrook Street has had a man with a ladder today offering to inspect and clean gutters for six quid. He was up my elderly neighbours roof and when he saw me chatting with him he asked me slightly aggressively 'is there a problem?'and when I asked what was his company as I might want my gutters inspecting (I didn't) he repeated 'is there a problem?' which I thought a bit strange if you wanted to get more work and get on with people. My neighbour said he wasn't interested, after the guy had pointed out that the flashing needed replacing and he left. He drove a silver kind of large pick up but one with a roof. he left a card.
