  1. this may be nothing, but just in case- this morning outside Nunhead Cemetery (Linden Grove end) I saw a pick up remove -or possibly even place- an orange VW Camper van. The pick up had 'nuisance vehicle' insignia and a company name. I don't think the van was there when I parked to walk the dog. I know people have had campers nicked locally by pick up trucks. This could have been a nicked one being temporarily parked. Or in the act of being nicked. Anyway, I took a photo of the campervan and the truck.
  2. I adore Johnnies and my only twinge is tucking into my huge veggie brekkie and there is a famine alert fund raising thing going on on the big screen which at one time it seemed it was tuned into permanently.
  3. Waitrose were giving away free Daily Mails with coffee and now they are not.
  4. we enjoyed our ?6.99 firework variety box from Lidl. Lots of quiet colourful low key fountainy things and one rocket type thing that hit a tree.

  10. our downstairs loo is on the site of the original outside loo- all the drains and pipes are already there somewhere underneath. I've seen quite a few people do this, sometimes adding a shower too. It is a boxed off square off the kitchen at the garden end.
  11. It is legal to burn wood in a defra approved woodburning stove. Wood needs to be seasoned.

  15. Robert has tuned my piano yearly for about six years, he phones every year when tuning is due. Nothing this year and his number is unobtainable. Does anyone know what's happened to him?
  16. dogs also enjoying gnawing at bark to clean their teeth which could be how fungi would be ingested.
  17. I often sit on that fallen tree so my elderly dog can have a rest.

  19. the wildlife garden centre off Ondine Road sells dog roses which could be trained to climb over walls as a prickly deterrent! Also blackberries!
