    So....

and 'Here's a thing' is bloody annoying too. (or is it 'the thing'?)
  3. a vote from me too.
  4. Once the cycle highways are up and running presumably it will remove bikes from the car using bit of the roadand ahead at the lights.
  5. Ive just 'nipped' down to kings road- used to be tWenty minute drive and afternoon free parking. Chaos at half moon/Herne Hill junction with cars from Herne Hill coming through on a green light immedately stopped on a red at the bridge, and blocking Half Moon Lane traffic when they have a green so no one got through for two light changes. Then coming down to junction of Brixton amd Acre lane again, traffic from right blocking all traffic on brixton hill so couldn't move heading north on your green light unless you risked the yellow box. Then at Battersea Park/chelsea Bridge roundabout- which used to,function very smoothly with no traffic lights, new traffic lights made light traffic queue for no reason and caused congestion. Why?
  6. ah it is definitely that one on the map Kford. Phew! I hope.
  7. yes Kford it was facing me- I hadn't passed it and I think only flashed once. I was still in second gear!
  8. I've just been camera flashed driving alongside Nunhead Cemetery driving I think at 25 mph. I had no idea it was a 20mph zone. I came from East Dulwich Road and turned right up a very small road to then meet Linden Grove, so if there was a sign I didn't see it. It may have been flashing a car coming the other way, but if it was me, is that a points off my licence scenario?
  9. I live near troy town and would happily join you!
  10. It's from old kent road via my burgess park short cut that ivebeen approaching it. Awful,
  11. We printed AS level photographs at the Bellenden Road printers who are lovely.
  12. I hope not, it's congestion is much much worse than before!
  13. Can anyone explain to me what it going on roadworks-wise around Elephant? The traffic is currently madness approaching from the bridges. I always thought the give-way system worked really well but now traffic lights in Waterloo Bridge Road is banking up traffic as lanes are let through on a green and then immediately stopped on different red just yards ahead, blocking the other lane once it is on a green, so that only about two cars per traffic light change are getting through. Sorry, not explaining very well but you will probably have experienced it yourselves. Is this part of works or the finished product?
  14. Lidl fresh croissants are fantastic, at 29pence a pop, if you want some to eat at home.
  15. Yup, he's got a very deep bark. What we do have is old lady type net curtains,
  16. sounds very similar KestonKid. He wasn't interested in trying house next door or phoning up.
  17. But he backed off quickly, so don't think sales. And did a lot of theatrical sighing. Out of work actor possibly.
  18. Employ by the hour and if she runs out of things to do, give her extra jobs like cleaning fridge, windows or whatever till time up.
  19. Yesterday afternoon, Bellenden area, (30/7/15) doorbell rang and man with clipboard started (i think) to talk about 'engineering work in the area' - and when i responded with the usual 'we've done all work we want to do'produced a clip board and said he'd been called out to repair my boiler. He had our address but different name and phone number on slip board. We are so used to random callers, i am assuming it was scam to gain entry into house should off school teens or confused elderly answer door. On the other hand it could be genuine mistake, though i felt he was working very hard to amicably present far too much information ('oh isn't this a council house then?') and wasn't that interested in my suggestion of ringing the number on his clipboard (all hand-written)to find the real boiler customer. White, male, middle aged, cheeky chappy. I am sure my yawning dopey seventeen year old would have given him full unsupervised range of the kitchen, so a heads up to let em know only to let in the expected!
  20. Quite a few streets were incorporated into this bellenden regeneration scheme of the early noughties including us in Nutbrook Street. we got railings, victorian style pathway tiles of our choice, doors and windows painted and repointing. all for a hundred quid. Fun times of community meetings. Our only regret is that we didnt choose bedding for our narrow front gardens instead of slabs.
  21. Thanks! She is due to fly tomorrow and so was disaster!
