  1. Honnieb is the master of this with the never to be beaten "I saw Dustin Hoffman slipping in to Mrs Robinson at the weekend", to even attempt since then is guaranteed failure.
  2. Pull yourself together Salsaboy....you sound like your mates over there... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-22985889
  3. How about Test 15 Relationships 1) Put a new peg on your ear lobe for every minute that your partner is later than you expected back from work/shops/a cup of coffee/getting the papers and react accordingly 2) Spend 2 years with someone on 4 hours a night a sleep without ever going out on a date or having sex whilst fluctuating between open criticism and silent resentfulness 3) Fill a carrier bag with Ice Cubes then take it in turns to hold the bag from 9pm -5am whilst in your nightwear for as long as possible before screaming "IT"S YOUR FUCKING TURN NOW"
  4. Anyway, I think next year is going to be interesting. A whole load of new managers, Fergie gone, I think that next year is the best chance for the Arsenal renaissance to actually happen and, if they keep Bale, and Spuds are ever going to win it again the must be targeting next year. At the bottom, I think all the promoted teams look pretty average: I think Stoke, Sunderland, Newcastle (with all the uncertainty), Norwich...all must be a bit worried. I *think* the irons look solid mid-table in this league.
  5. I think he's a decent buy for *sighs* our style...fitness is the key. Strikers aren't cheap anywhere and if he stays fit he should be banging in a decent number of goals Plus, *spot the clich?* he's great at defending at corners too

  13. Anyway I'm very supportive of independence for the ' first rate global city attached to a second rate country'....wherever THAT is :)

  15. If the scots take the debts of the RBS (run almost exclusively by a Scottish banker mafia) and the Bank of Scotland debts of HBOS (and the Bank of Scotland was largely responsible for HBOS toxic corporate loan book that nearly sunk Lloyyds) then I'm all in favour; altenatively if the SNP and large numbers of other Scottish people could stop blaming London and 'The City' for all their woes and TAKE SOOME FOOKING RESPONSIBILITY they can stay. Numbers, Mr Ben, Snorky and The BarryBarry boys can all stay on licence as I'm very fond of them all.

  17. Absolute garbage - The old children behaving themselves better in other countries cliche....i've family in Italy and lived in Spain and if you think young children behave themselves better in those countries you are in cloud cukoo loud...they are also generally out and about far, far later than kids over here. People are just far mor family friendly there that's all and the kids are tolereated It's rubbish that they are better behaved and under control. LOL rubbish!

  24. I've got my nan's diary from 1944 and I've dug it out for stuff on the V1s, in the end she and my mum and aunty went to Liverpool to escape them, which was an irony as my mum never got evacuated during the 1941 Blitz. My kids are going to have a great history project with this one daY Thursday June 15th, First doodle bug, scared me stiff, up all night Friday, 16th More doodles all day, spent most of the day under the stairs, made beds on the kitchen floor as archie on home guard (my grandad) Sat 17th, Getting a little used to doodles but can't eat or do any work, will have to buck up - will be crackers if this goes on for long Sunday 18th, No mass today, too scared, managed to cook dinner between scares, non very near it just goes on my nan's fear and then 29th 29th Joan (my Mum - about 7 then) seems to be crying all day, except when Doodles come over, then laughs hysterically The trivial things I worry about! Thanks CS for getting me to dig that out, there's loads of stuff in there that makes me realise how lucky we are
