Does anyone else miss TLS's + Bigbadwolf's posts?
SeanMacGabhann replied to daizie's topic in The Lounge
I'd swear quids said that in the same way that Voronin would after the ball stopped dead in front of an empty net and he scores the winner in Big Cup final - "I can't believe that was just left there!!!" Anyway I thought you were dying sick -
They are definitely trying to have it every which way It's not really their position on Europe that bugs me (although I disagree with it) - it's the way they think that it doesn't matter, that other countries respect their position, that they can insult the EU as much as they like and that one French dude is "on his own" in calling them on it. That we can't cede any power to Brussels when we have been ceding power to America for years and will to to China for many more. It's just ... weird thinking

Anyone been following this over the last couple of days? Fantastic stuff Cameron ditches his "cast-iron" (his words) guarantee on a refurendum, then Pierre Lellouche (French Europe minister) accused the Tories of autism in their thinking on Europe because they just repeat the same line over and over again, and the rest of the EU countries are seriously hacked off with their constant negativity Wiliam Hague responds to that by saying Lellouch was alone and isolated in his thinking Now there and then I thought, hang on, whatever one thinks of the Tories position on Europe, surely saying that other EU countries think the Tories are not on board isn't an outrageous stretch of the truth? How deluded would someone have to be to say "no no I think you'll find they all like us"? Sure enough, EU countries are lining up to day to put Hague straight today. This country is going to be so busted when the Tories get elected... Allied to a declining superpower, estranged from their neighbours and too weak to deal with the upcoming Chinese dominance

Yep - and to be fair it's a mistake I've made as well (mentioning PMs) But he hasn't got a right of reply for a reason - his own dumb fault. I wish Admin would come on and say just how many suspensions and warnings he was actually given. But people seem to want to see only the good in ole Tone... But whilst I might disagree with Huguenot's tactic I'm with him totally teh rest of the way And there is no clique - all sorts of people say the most ridiculous things on here but to get banned takes stupendous efforts -
On the southwark website it says: "Like most of South London, Dulwich was hit by the bombing raids of World War Two with many civilians killed, and properties destroyed. Ironically one of the houses that was destroyed was once inhabited by the infamous Lord Haw Haw. During the war Dulwich was used as a training base by the Dutch government in exile to train agents before their return to the Netherlands." but any mention of arrests happened on the Danish borders

;-) Well who's goat hasn't Huguenot got at some point? I know I've been speechless with him on more than one occassion

Is the accusation that Huguenot has never been told off quids? Because that ain't true Plus you have managed to mangle every stereotype going just to get a cheap shot in - not sure what the point is. Especially after the excellent post from you last night But the general tone on the thread is that Admin is percieved as not playing fair with TLS and BBW and that he is exagerating the charges and favours others. Which if I was Admin I would be pissed off at. You can call him many things but he is scrupulously fair -
Convince me it's outrageously offensive then quids? Aren't MOST of the answers Huguenot gave also given by people of faith on many occassions? Besides he posted it at 1:20am - at least give Admin time to decide after he's read it
-
Even for the most ardent people of faith, I can't believe that's true If you believe in something as tenuous as God, then I'll defend your right to that belief - but I might think you daft. If you support Accrington Stanley and you believe they will be in the Premiership in 5 years time I will do exactly the same And I might go as far as to say it out loud. And I might resent you claiming your belief gives you special rights amongst the rest of us (be it education, state or whatever) But by all means go ahead and believe it anyway But if you go around hoping people get gang-raped to death, as per one of the banees, who can defend that? That just isn't like for like comparison

Keef, a statement like that could get a lot of paranoid people thinking "is it me?" so... am I one of those people? Declan - most of the questions you pose are answered in the long-standing forum terms of use Do these answer your questions? I can't be sure which post you think has been removed but I can't see any that have been "removed" - just the two about Hoopers which are still visible to everyone? If something else has gone AWOL contact admin. (Piers isn't the only one with clumsy fingers - I managed to delete a whole thread once) -

I very very narrowly failed my first test I ballsed up my second completely By the eve of the third I was barely human - just a sore, anxious, angry shell of a person. I passed that one I hate the fact that you start at passing and can only go down from there - no super act of driving can gain you enough points if you have dropped just a couple -
I dunno about local but I go often enough - feel free to PM me if you like?

people have said negative things about BBW, but most of those exact same people also said positive things as well I thought. It's a measure of badly BBW handled himself If someone wants to point out the humour I'm missing in the example moos gave, I'd like to hear it as well and as Annaj pointed out, most of you won't have read the very worst examples and the main reasons he was banned - so why keep pushing the point? It really isn't anyone's call but Admin's - and he has repeated several times why people got banned so just crack on. If it wasn't for people like those on the banned list, I would guess that Admin wouldn't have closed the forum for a few weeks? -
Is it not worth dropping a note informing them that the property isn't as vacant as they assumed so how about ye all leave before I have to take further action? or is there a downside to this I haven't thought of?

Ian is still bitter about the experience - soemone cheer him up and buy him a pint at the next one
