  1. doh - just seen the Hob have posted a notice about it in the What's On section - ignore this and answer there if you fancy it
  2. think I said it all in the subject on this one It'll be as slack as anything but that's his charm
  3. Do SMBS or the Turkish shop opposite the Black Cherry definitely not have it? Surprising... But yeah, the Chinese shop in peckham is aces too - next to the HSBC on the corner

shush! I have my eye on those...
  5. [Patronise Mode = On] Ah BBW - when you get a leeeetle bit older, chill a bit and don't try so hard you'll be adorable. [Patronise Mode = Off ] ;-)
  6. Google doesn't give up a LOT of info about restaurants around here - Moulin for example may as well not exist based on google-evidence Si Mangia is definitely local and I always wish them well, AND lots of people love it there. I find the food bland tho... Sounds like you are down that way anyway so give it a go
  7. depends what kind of food you like, what kind of evening you are after and what you think constitutes a good dinner - any request for recommendations on here will usually elicit at least one response for every eatery on Lordship Lane - is there any poster whose opinion you value above others? have a search for the word "restaurant" in the search bar on top left - that will bring up several threads along similar lines My answer is usually Indian? Tandoori Nights Casual but decent? - Hizar Quality? - Franklins (Palmerston not far behind) Somwehere different and old school? - Moulin
  8. so? how was it???
  9. depending on which mobile you use, skype has some pretty decent client software for mobiles.
  10. Sorry onion. I just scrolled through recent posts nor have I seen you play trials. Nowt personal
  11. So come on the Ed - join the leaderboard competition - send an invite to rattty657 Ed Mockers SeanMacgabhann are the locals I know about on Live - ratt(t)y joined relatively late in the day so gets some leeway with his scores but as of yesterday evening I managed top on every one of the first batch of courses - oh yes
  12. I mentioned nothing of the good old days quids. Not even by suggestion still, nice single quotes.
  13. oh shoot - not only a cross-post but exactly the same M word - ah well
  14. Ah I see where are coming from. But I think Jezza'a irrelevant comment was meant more as a "moot point" rather than your post being irrelevant I don't doubt your experience in the sector for a second but if some of us less desensitised can discourage people from going down that road then that's no bad thing surely
  15. It's not in the Lounge yet Matthew
  16. Of course I wouldn't Dom - I was (I thought) clearly joking - just thought your post was a bit precious Admin, moi?? bless.... (for clarity that means no I'm not. Never have been never will be) Anyway if you thought Jeremy was, in your words, chastising you, you are a more sensitive soul than I thought. He might be disagreeing with you but I don't see any chastising. from Jeremy anyway. I, however, am in the mood....
  17. Much like the Here Be Dragons thread, I suspect the reasons for *Bob*'s absence aren't hard to divine
  18. I know Dom - just imagine the front of someone giving you a slamming as harsh as that!! I'd complain to Admin if I were you
  19. No one compared you to a racist. If someone complained about you to admin I don't know who it was, care to share? For the record that is
  20. that Jon Stewart interview where neo-con Bill Kristol admits government healthcare is BETTER than insurance companies doh
  21. I filled that form in about 7 years ago because teh whole of Friern Rd was in an appalling state - next think I know the whole of Friern Rd was completely resurfaced. Obviously many other peolpe had done the same thing but basically, it's worth doing as it appears to work
  22. Jojo. The last option blame and claim is a blight
  23. I always liked their impartial restaurant reviews - they really cut through the dross and you knew that an accolade from them was worth at least a Michelin star.. oh no, wait....
  24. I did the same this morning cap'n If they had opened 2 months ago they would surely have built up enough business but heading into September - ouch But, y'know, good luck to them and all that
