  1. It'll be on More4 according to today's paper. A 4 episode story-arc reconvenes the main cast of Seinfield. Including Newman
  2. Gamer's myth. And very BBW as fir trials HD. Those of you who held top spot on ski jump and burning flames... All your bases are mine
  3. Fair enough. I'm not trying to start a fight just read your post as lacking context when I first read it I've moved away from that road anyway but it still bugs me. Still, sun is shining
  4. About 3500 for me. I hate those building corridors tho
  5. Quids. You seem to picking a fight with the childless when it is as many parents I see on here saying much the same I know people from the top of friern rd who drop the kids off there. On any case I'm not telling anyone how far they can and can't drive. But the thread is about the problem of people blocking that rd up whic delays other people (some with kids some not) from getting to work on time. They can't park around the corner no??
  6. Can you spell "one more go"? http://www.canabalt.com/
  7. The whole project is doomed. It's slightly interesting but very few of the traders I have seen interviwed are on board But dear GOD, the sheer predictability of TLS not contributing to the topic at hand but just warning about Brixton generally is crushing
  8. alphacalifragelistic - sorry - I wasn't trying to sound quite so aggressive. And nor was I claiming anyone pretended to know it all. I just wanted to make the point that I have stopped listening to anyone who claims to know anything about the situation You are correct that " there are people out there who made substantiated cases that we were in a bubble. " - I said as much in my last post. But again the point is "so what" - noone listened to them. More people made the opposite case and as has been said by many on here, no lessons have been learnt and nothing has changed.
  9. Fair point James but ultimately there is little to be gained from all parties stepping back saying "not my jurisdiction". Whatever works, works for me Interestingly we have had nobody come on and post a defence of parents parking outside schools - anyone? anyone?
  10. Elly - well posted but I would say there aren't that many people complaining about parents and spoilt brats - a few misanthropes like eater81 aside, the forum seems dominated by parents, so take some comfort from that
  11. I drink. Plenty. Too Much. Often it's Stella But 8am in the morning? Even on the most laid back holiday that just couldn't happen Maybe I'm getting old but that's a bit too "frat-boy" for me
  12. and with respect to anyone going into detail about the various factors, debt values, GDP blah blah blah - I am officially not listening to ANYONE who is making any kind of prediction. If we have learned anything from recent times it's that no-one knows jack. A very very small number of people are able to point to predictions they made 3 years ago, which turned out to be largely true but that doesn't mean it was expertise on their part - it could just as easily have been a maverick reaction to prevailing consensus It could all fall off a cliff tomorrow or it might start to get better, or it might through another sudden cycle - but we'll manage.
  13. Given how everyone reacted when VAT was reduced ("What's the faaaahkin point of that then? It won't mean anything to me and it'll cost companies a fortune"), if I start hearing people complaining about being ripped-off when it reverts I am going to go spare...
  14. the problem of some people's contributions to the forum in a nutshell Timster you've only just recently started posting regularly and they are Good Posts so don't give up so easily. Please
  15. That's not even lightly amusing, much less v. funny PGC! Charge the fekker 20000, buy some nice food from a nearby restaurant and smile at him while he signs the cheque
  16. what the sweet F*** has that got to do with idiots parking selfishly? Go find a religion thread a spout away there
  17. No doubt an element of truth in that, but unless you have been collared by Piers at 3am in the morning to listen to some new CDs, you have no idea what obscure CAN mean ;-)
  18. eater - are you SURE you want to live in one of the world's big cities?
  19. So far this all sounds pretty positive and I hope it reassures the OP - but: If one or two people who have had unfortunate incidents happen to them posted on this thread would that make people reading it think "oooh it's really unsafe around here now"? ie - on what do "we" (those reading and wondering perhaps) base our feelings of it being safe?
  20. There's another 17 posts left in this yet... come on!
