Wasn't there a time (and I could be imagining this from too many films) where the pavement outside shops was the shops responsibility rather than the councils? Even if I'm wrong I see the council as the last resort for this sort of thing - like a lazy adolescent, the more the council tidies our room, the more the public takes it for granted. Individuals and business should take more responsibility and be punished more harshly for not doing so IMO

Exactly Keef - although to be fair the latest versions I played last week show just enough progress (mostly around 360 degree movement instead of normal 8 direction pad - but anyway) I never trust them either - if I play against the computer and leave my pad untouched, the opposition should just walk the ball into the net - but no, they all act like 11 Franny Jeffers and kick the ball every which way for 10 minutes

I played Tim Schaefer's latest - Brutal Legend - demo yesterday Beautiful, beautiful menu system, where every action is displayed as someone looking at a gatefold album sleeve. Done with real affection The game itself is yer 3rd person hack-em-up a la Devil May Cry or God of War but with some very good voice-acting and a decent (if very silly script) - echoes of his earlier Day of the Tentacle
