Jargon is painful isn't it? But basically it means, if you are put in charge of a team, can you manage them they way we (the company) want (or say we want) - you know, do appraisals, set objectives ("promise to brush up on those excel skills Barry?" - "yes boss") and review those objectives for each of your team. yadda yadda

That could be one reason why some people on here get so finicky about "facts" and "reason" as opposed to hearsay and rumour

I'd post a link but the search function is being uncooperative at the mo Basically - a lot of straight people said most of the bars are gayfriendly, why be all exclusive? And then lots of gay people said straight people wouldn't understand But I reckon the reality is shown up by the Rainbow Drinks threads that pop up from time to time. Basically, someone tries to arrange a booze up for gay people in the area... and then it never happens because about 2 people respond. Which doesn't bode well for anyone thinking of opening a gay bar I would say

If someone has been hear years and years and made the OP's comment then, maybe, maybe not But to say you moved here 18 months ago and now your are bored - says more about you than it does about the area. That's not meant to sound like a dig btw - just suspect you may be young and in the mood for somethings else. ED itself hasn't changed much in the last 18 months (apart from superficialities such as Foxton's etc etc - but as that replaced a council offices I doubt you are missing out too much on the excitement front there)
