  1. There is one in the Co-op on Forest Hill Road. It is buried in the bottom of the magazine rack. You can also order back issues by calling BBC subscriptions.
  2. Fuschia - which African lullaby CD do you use? I have been wanting to get one but there are a few to choose from (sorry sb for going slightly off topic)
  3. The Grove in Hertfordshire has a good restaurant and spa and a cr?che but not sure about baby listening
  4. Thanks for all the replies, especially the Kiddicare tip. I have just purchased a bag for ?6.99 in the sale!
  5. Hello We are flying with our new little one in a couple of weeks, and will need to take the car seat (0 - 12 months) for the car at the other end as they do not offer hire car seats small enough. It will have to go in the hold, and I am a bit nervous about the battering it may take. Has anyone done this and have any top tips fpr protecting it? The best I have come up with is bubble wrap and a bin liner! Thanks Victoria
  6. Acupuncture with Dan Bevan at the Dulwich Therapy Rooms. I also had a curry from the new veggie Indian - Indian Mischief - and went into labour 5 hours later.
  7. Sillywoman and intexasatthemoment, would you mind elaborating as to the issues you had, PM if you prefer?
  8. Sorry everyone have been struck down overnight by gastroenteritis so won't make it today.
  9. Really sorry I have managed to clash plans again. Will definitely make sure I am free next week as keen to see you all and see how the little ones are growing!
  10. Sorry, didn't make myself very clear. I am not concerned about calories in terms of weight gsin, more that the baby gets used to heavy filling meals in the night when that should ideally take place in the day.
  11. Thanks all for all the helpful suggestions. Fuschia, having looked up the symptoms, I think she might have reflux as she is very sicky, but she is not upset by it. She went in the door bouncer this morning for 10 minutes while I had my breakfast and seemed to like it. Slight issue with the 3 year old wanting to spin and bounce her though so will have to watch that! Not keen to give formula top ups quite yet, and I would be a little concerned that getting her used to a heavier feed with more calories during the night might cause longer term problems than any benefit it may bring. Will see how desperate I get though!
  12. I do actually have a jumperoo (agree is hideous) from last time, but again had thought she was too small. Might dust that off as well tomorrow!
  13. That sounds fab, and would be very much appreciated if you still have it!
  14. Right then, will dig out the door bouncer and let you know how I get on!
  15. Her head control is great, and I had thought of the door bouncer, but I thought she was still a bit little?
  16. I have a 13 week old who still wakes twice in the night. While I appreciate this is quite normal, it is a bit of a shock to the system as my first child slept through from 8 weeks. My main issue is that she is hardly sleeping in the day either, so the 'sleep when they sleep' philosophy is not working for me, particularly with a toddler. I usually get half an hour in the morning and an hour at lunch if I am lucky. She is exclusively breastfed on demand, so I don't think hunger is an issue. She gets plenty of stimulation, fresh air and attention. She hates the mini gym, baby Bjorn, sling, car seat and buggy. She only is really content when being held upright as she loves being upright and pushing up on her legs. This is all proving extremely wearing and I get little if anything done during the day. Any thoughts or am I just expecting too much and making a fuss about nothing? I had hoped after 12 weeks I might have started to see an improvement.
  17. Hi Really sorry, can't make tomorrow, but hope to see you all next week. xx
  18. We just named our new baby girl Emmy (middle name Grace)which I though was slightly out of the ordinary without being daft, and had traditional elements, as it was like Emma and Emily. Our second favourite was Lexie, but she was definitely not a Lexie when she arrived. My mum hates Emmy, but I couldn't care less!
  19. Hello everyone As it is such a lovely sunny day, does anyone fancy a stroll around the park today, perhaps ending with tea and cake? I propose Peckham Rye Park and the Gardens cafe, but open to other suggestions! Victoria and Emmy xx
  20. I am afraid I have to wait in this afternoon too, but will come along if they turn up early.
  21. Sorry, not going to make it today, I have a very grumpy baby after jabs :(
